"I'll go with you, if you wish. I'd be a refreshing walk I think."

He looked to December, "May I have the number of the Choristers? I'll give them a call while we're out to see if we can arrange an appointment with them." He turned his focus to the others. "We should probably schedule an appointment with the Hermetics. I've been told they appreciate things like that. Maybe tomorrow morning? Would give us a chance to see if we can learn anything useful from the cat and hopefully speak with the Chorister chantry."
He took his glass to the sink and rinsed it out. Since Melita was working on Dish duty he offered it to her, but had a questioning look in his eyes as he did so. "Ms. December, would you recommend the Id-...Adepts or the Sons to look at the cat remains? And would one of you contact them while we're out searching through the snow?" |

Melita takes the glass, and finishes cleaning and drying it.

"It's nearly seven miles out," December says. "And it's snowing like a bastard. I would recommend you take horses as there's no road or similar, but if you want to walk, here's the location." She provides a Correspondence 1 perfect location to travel to, a place about seven miles northwest through the woods and over a box canyon.
__________________December likewise provides the contact information for Miranda Rensberger of the Celestial Chorus as a point of contact, as well as Girard Depardeaux, Franklin Jim's master and your Hermetic point of contact. "As far as the Sons or the Virtual Adept, it's really up to you. Myself, I'd ask both. The Sons, while they did request intercession, are allied with the Order of Hermes and may be party to something being hidden. The Virtual Adept runs a little house of miscreants, but they've got less to protect. Unless something had radically changed, that is." She provides contact information for Dr. Joseph Hellerman of the Sons of Ether, and also for a man named Tom -- "Not a Virtual Adept, but if you want to speak to Morgan, you've got to go through him." |

"Which horses would you recommend Mrs Cochrane?" Turning to Jeff, Jonathan, and Davien she says "If you three would begin making contact with Tom and Dr Hellerman while...Mr. Ragnar? Yes? Mr. Ragnar and myself retrieve the remains." She paused mid sentence as if having to recall what he called himself. She looks for a sign of agreeing to this plan, and walks out to the barn. "Cody's just about done with that palomino filly that he got from the Goodman's -- Champagne is what he wound up naming her, I think. And take Saul, too. He's a steady trail ride and will be sure to find his way back to his stall in case you all get lost out there."

Melita will nod, and look to the three for confirmation if they will do as instructed.

Ragnar grunts, "I'll have to get my coat then it sounds like. Been a while since I rode a horse. Prefer reindeer, but not practical in states."
He plugged the Chorister's number into his phone. "I'll meet you in the barn then?" he asks Malita. The others seem to have some direction to work in, but he offers, "Call both. See which will study it first." He waves his arm in a single wide half circle. "We'll be back soon." That said he pulls on his shirt and heads out to the kennel to get his heavy coat for the ride. As he heads across the yard he dials in the Chorister's number. |

It's one of those obnoxious call-tone type phone calls where the phone plays you a song instead of a staid and serious ring. This particular phone number is regaling you with Toby Keith. After an agonizing thirty seconds, "Hello?" The voice is young and female, surely no older than twenty. You've retrieved your coat. Geri is chewing enthusiastically on an ox bone. She looks better, but not 7 miles to look at some mechanical parts better.

"Greetings. My name is Ragnar. I was given this number by December." He decides to have the call in the kennel. It's practical as he can focus on just the talk and it gives him some time to spend with Geri. "I am a seeker of the One thing most people missing in their lives."
While there, he refills her water bowl and sits beside her. Her improved health is a great relief to him. |

Wag wag wag. And then, the sharp crunch of shattered bone. Geri looks pleased with herself. The wound has stopped draining, and some baby fine hairs are growing in on the bald spot.

His left hand hovers over the fresh grown hair. He didn't quite touch it, but he smiled. Yes, he owed December.
"Yes. During my travels I missed service. Do you have any services this evening that I might attend?" |

"Depends. Do you need confession?" Her voice has a strange tinge now.

Americans. He frowned into the phone while scratching Geri. "Such things are not what needs to be discussed this evening." Or ever. "Is there someone I may be able to see or not?"
