Getting a clear shot of the big pirate Alex clearly speaks into the pistol "Lethal" the light switches back to red on the laser pistol and she pulls down on the trigger.

OOC Cliff is still making tracks for the point of forced entry, periodically looking over his shoulder to check the status of the evacuees.

Axeus's plan comes to fruition as he sees a big pirate walk out through the hole and into his line-of-sight. He then pulls the trigger and shoots at his side with his Laser Pistol.

OOC Due to the Delay Rules in D20 Modern, Axeus's turn is now before that of Alex in Initiative. If there isn't a list that would make more sense of this interruption, I say we make one. NOTE~ I am pretty sure this counts as a Flat-Footed attack since Axeus would not have been seen by any of the Pirates due to his quick action to hide beind the outcropping pillar, unless the DM says otherwise. .....WOW.....Epic Miss....T_T

Aiming a shot at the new, threateningly large pirate, Mac charges the rifle, the colour quickly changing from blue, through to pure white energy. Bracing his legs on the floor, he pulls the trigger, releasing a blazing pulse of light towards the rod wielding enemy.

OOC Rolls: Attack: 21 Damage: 25

Axeus's laser pistol beeps and on its display screen on its side reads in red, "Power pack is empty. Please replace power pack." Alex's laser beam hits the big pirate squarely in the chest and his corpse frumps onto the slab of hull that had been carved out as Cliff arrives to the side of the breach. Mac's shot is wasted instead on another pirate standing in the breach, who stumbles back and then falls to the ground. His last standing ally throws a grenade towards Mac. The grenade clatters on the steel floor and rolls between Mac and Alex. The grenade begins to whine intensely.

OOC Mac and Alex have been caught by the sonic grenade. It deals 3d6 nonlethal sonic damage (Fort DC 12). Success=half damage. Failure= Full damage and shaken for 1d4 rounds.

Cliff's brows shift unevenly as he observes the mass fall lifeless onto the slab. Frell! So much for that idea. Looks like a firefight from here out.

Ping! Claklaklak! He observes the grenade and his eyes widen. Using the initial toss to guess the enemy position, Cliff steps between the large body and the hull breach."Lights out, scum bag!"

"One minor overlook and see what happens?!" He yells at himself, as he forgot to buy an additional Power Pack for his weapon before he left the system. Now to due to such a simple and idiotic mistake, he was weaponless as he then defenseless, as his Fusion Torch was a last-ditch effort for being cornered but now wasn't the time for that. "Anyone got a spare Power Pack?" He shouted over the fighting to any and all who cared to hear him as he slid back behind his cover, if he didn't get a replaced charge all he would be then is a liability, something which he didn't like being thought of.

OOC Such a cruel way for a 1 to be, of all situations... but it was pretty funny I must admit. lol

Gritting her teeth she pushes through the sonic blast, thinking she can hear some one yelling she looks around and looks at the man holding the gun flashing empty. She takes her spare energy pack from her belt and tosses it him with her free hand while aiming her pistol at the hole in the wall.

Mac collapses on the floor as the sonic blast renders him unconscious. The grenade at his feet sent pulses of sonic energy through his ears, and his brain couldn't cope. Shutting down temporarily, it meant he would be unconscious until tended to.

[Nithia]

Although she did know how to use a gun she never saw the need ever to arise. Not really sure of her self in a fighting situation such as this, Nithia holds her nausia gun out for Axeus. Nithia sits huttled next to the wall and as close to the cover Axeus is useing as she can.

During the distraction, the pirate moves to take his stunned comrade and drag him back into their ship. Cliff fires at the pair and grazes one's shoulder, but the second shot causes the pistol to overheat.

OOC Cliff's pistol is overheated and will take a round to cool.

EDIT: During the distraction, the pirate moves to take his stunned comrade and drag him deeper into their ship. Cliff strikes at the pair in the breach with his concussion knuckles. Cliff's fist glances off the first pirate and he stumbles. Cliff's second jab was ruined by a mistep. He trips and falls prone.

Alex carefully moves closer to the hole pistol drawn on it at all times. (moving half speed.) Her finger sitting readily on the trigger if anything tries to take a shot at her she'll shoot back just as readilly.

"Sonofa-!" Cluff almost gets a curse out before his misplaced blow earned him a spot on the floor. Considering his angle of attack, he may have half landed on the larger of the pirates. He may have left a clear shot over himself, but will be getting back to his feet shortly.

OOC Spending the round standing. If the still standing pirate tries to grab the big one again, I'll grapple with him.

OOC: The pirate was grabbing the one that was hit by Alex's stun charge.

The pirate takes hold of his stunned comrade and takes him with him back into their ship. They've fled and it seems to be quiet for now.
