When I asked my daughter, she just rolled her eyes and said OMG, and walked a way! At least I know what that is.

No, you actually just lost the game.

I of Tiger,
__________________I am, for the second time, directing you to the introduction post I posted for you. Please read it carefully, your questions are all answered there. If you are still confused, please PM me and I'll do my best to explain everything to you in simple words... I'll even type slower if need be. Also, you already signed up for a New Player Solo Game. Please be patient as our DMs for those games tend to get a little swamped - you will not be forgotten or overlooked. If you continue to post in the same fashion that you have been, it will be considered spamming and will be dealt with accordingly. -Grave

I don't know if this has been asked yet, and if It has, I deeply apologize.
Are there any specific qualifications in DMing a game? And is the tabletop Eclipse Phase supported? I imagine so. |

There's this downloadable resume form. It's a pdf with about 54 pages of bio, gaming preferences, and security questions. It's essential for determining your b-factor rating and whether we'll have agents assigned to your case.
__________________Oops!! I think I have to slay you now. ![]() To answer your question truthfully, there are no requirements to becoming a DM. Never heard of your tabletop RPG. We likely do not support it, meaning we do not provide character sheets or SRD rules. However, that doesn't mean you can not run that type of game here. We have a forum set aside for any type and style of game that can be adapted to pbp forum style play. |

How long does it take to get an answer about a game request?
I requested a game almost a week ago and I haven't received an answer or a commentary, how long does it usually take?
Thanks Thread merged with General Questions thread. - Toad` Last edited by Admin Toad`; 11-11-2010 at 08:27 AM. |

Garkin,
__________________Between TheChuck and myself, game requests are reviewed ~3 times a week. When I checked in yesterday, you had only three people interested in your game and one of them had posted an application you said you would not approve. (We require that games be shown 'adequate' interest before they are approved for creation) I just checked again, and it seems as if you have a few others interested now and you should expect to receive a 'Your game has been created' notification sometime today. Thanks! Game on! -Grave

Hi there.
Is there a FAQ on here for commonly used acronyms and such? |

I'm guessing that by acronyms, you mean abbreviations? In that case, yes - you can find it in the site rules and help, it's called "Guide to D&D Abbreviations".

I should probably let this go, but in the interest of sticking up for the very young dragon.
__________________![]() Technically I think some of that list is composed of acronyms. Abbreviations are shortened words and phrases, but acronyms are where you take the first letter of several words and make a new word. So some abbreviations can be acronyms. EDIT: Hmm...I guess if the shortened word or phrase makes a new "word" it is considered an acronym. If it is just a string of letters that doesn't really make a new "word" then it is an abbreviation. So maybe the list should read abbreviations/acronyms. In My Humble Opinion = I.M.H.O. = Abbreviation To Hit Armor Class 0 = Thaco = acronym. Last edited by Still_Pond; 11-15-2010 at 11:33 AM. |

Looking at the Request a Game feature, I see a box you can check for solo games.
__________________If I post an advert for a solo game, does it still show up in the DM Seeking Players forum? Where does my solo game go when it is approved? Do I get a game forum the same as someone applying for game with 4 party members, or a thread in the Solo Games section? |
