code is just spoilerbutton="Title" and ofcourse you put it in those little bracket things and then end it with /spoilerbutton

You can't have ' in the spoilerbutton command.

Oh, btw, please post here first, if you have any map suggestions. I'd like to keep that information clean. So I'll post it once I think it's good.

I like the Glacial Shrine idea.

Samurai post Came up with Ural's journey to enlightenment On the map of Tantora you will see I added three new places: The village of A'sellies Illued (Autumns Illusion), Saya's Glacial shrine (I forgot to label it on the map but its the darker blue circle on the map), and Augustite a Dwarven / Human city which would be the most likely place of direction for Ural. Now individual maps explained!   A very sacred place amongst the Tantoran folk, and often a place of trials and man hood. Saya's Glacial shrine is a mountain of pure ice standing at about 2300 feet high and 1000 feet wide. What sparked the winter folk as divine about the mountain, wasn't the fact that it was made of pure ice, nor was it that the mountain was naturally honey combed and hollow, but that it was a natural sanctuary granting peace to those who seek it, protection to those in need, and blessing to those who had proven themselves worthy. For Ural, his final test as a man was to walk to the Glacial Shrine, and receive his blessing.   Much smaller than your average Elvish village due to the survival possibilities of the cold winters in Tantora. The Elves who lived there didn't mind though, for a small village meant they didn't have to work as hard to find food, which was great when you live in a wasteland, and it was easier to slip past the minds of political campaigns of war. That was, until a small mercenary regiment stumbled across the small village during a furious snow storm. When the mercenaries demanded food and shelter and the locals refused, all hell broke lose. Many good elves died that day, but not without a fight taking almost three quarters of the regiment with them, when the mercenaries had finally won there was nothing left to take, the shelters that had been made of snow had caved in and the food buried with it or burned beyond edible quality. Ural knew the village would have fought to the end, what he didn't know however was that in a way the village still won. The wounded were left behind to freeze to death because they would have slowed down the rest. The others slowly dropped one by one from hunger, fatigue, or creatures higher in the food chain. They were forever lost in that frozen wasteland, if anyone did survive, they surely were never returning. Blue Square on map:Urals "house" Red Square:Village Elder Red ArrowDirection mercenaries came in   The last one is just a 2d layout of what the average snow house would look like. If you dont know the basics of a snow cave then heres the explanation right to left. Top most right: This is the entrance which is normally a small 2 meter by 2 meter hole in the ice with a small slant. The opening often has furs to act as a door, which collects a lot of snow and helps mask the entrance. Bottom most right, a circle at the bottom of the "door": This is your drain in a way, any excess water, cold air, snow, etc falls and collects in this area. It sounds odd, but trust me it works. Middle Structure (pillar's): The blocky things yeah theyre just what you think they are, pillars, but made of ice. Normally you wouldnt need these, but because these are House sized snow caves then any extra support would be nice so that polar bear sniffing around doesnt pop in to say "Hallo" Main structure: Its circular because this type of structure is one of the best for supporting large quantities of weight at lower densities, hence why you cant break an egg squeezing it with your fingers from the top and bottom (dont cheat, has to be same hand thumb and index, and not from the sides.) Not to mention its also the best type of structure for maintaining heat, which just might be your number 2 priority in a frozen wasteland. I'll see if i can draw up something for Na'Teriru. So far im thinking more of igloo (sp?) type structures rather than snow caves. (Who else heard of that hotel made entirely of ice? Thinking something along those lines)

Also, Lukin, I saw that you posted done, but you don't have a link to the character sheet. Can you put that in your character creation thread please? Thanks!

Not so much underground like the drow, snow caves are only relatively about 20'-50' underground including hollow space. I see them as being very active above ground during the spring and summer, and then slightly seclusive in their warmer homes as winter approaches with blizzard season

If I made a major mistake about your character, then let me know here. I'm pretty sure that the first post is right about where you're at with your life. If you didn't expect some things, that's the point. But if you were a desert elf and somehow I put you in Tundra, speak up.

I think they should be close. But though in game I am Saya's good buddy, OOC I am human.
