You have been away from Da'Allion for about two months now. You have not gone too far, fearing the worst in this desolate land. Also, the fear of never getting out of desert without running out of provisions scared you. It is good that you did not go too far, on this particular day, you have indeed run out of provisions. The last of your food is gone, and the last drop of water that you got from the oasis not too far is also gone. You probably can not stay out here too long. You swear underneath your breath, knowing full well that the best course of action is go back to Da'Allion, but you don't really want to.
Taking a good look around, there is not one soul to be seen for miles. Sighing loudly, you sat down on the hot sand, deciding to look around for shade from the hot sun. Having traveled first east keeping the mountains to the south in view searching for the pass to Saya's Knowledge Tower, and a caravan route. Ta-jon now heads directly into the mountain area to hopefully find water. [common] Well it is time to prove to the world at large I can survive and prosper [common] Ta-jon says to the air around him still with humor to his voice [elven] *laughs lightly* Well father, if mother has told you that I intend not to return home from this trip now would be a great time to send Eddian or Isandra out to round me up before I die from no water. after a few moments of pause hmmm one would have thought I would have remembered the scimitar I left next to my bed for the day I left home. not the wisest of moves looking back. Garbed in only a shirt and standard breeches with a pair of boots, Tilar's only sign of himself being of the guard was the standard shoulderpad on his right. Knowing what sort of people these were by reputation alone made his spine crawl. Tilar wasn't yellow-bellied, but he didn't want conflict. It was just this sort of thing, though, that he knew would begin a tide of events that he couldn't control. Balconians... probably wanting to overrun into our fishing network, I'll wager. Their type do seem greedy... Tilar's thoughts weren't allowed to develope much more when he heard the one speak to him. "By the orders of Grale Balcon, I am here to talk to your leader. Bring me to him." Tilar nodded to Keven's offer. Le' 'im know he's wanted a' tha gate. He then leans close to Keven, whispering in his ear, and covering his lips to the Balconians with his hand. Tell 'im I'll try ta keep 'em 'ere. Bu' more than likely, we'll mee' him goin' inta town, aye? Tilar sends Keven off, then he turns to the men, nodding once and smiling cordially, though his eyes betrayed a small passing fear. Oi, I assure ya, I don' mean any form o' 'arm in askin' this, bu' woul' ya min' if'n Mis'er Neal came 'ere? He's prolly down a' tha tavern an' it won' be long, if'n ya don' mind tha wait. A day like many others finds young Delkin alone in the Hectronar chapel, cleaning an already spotless altar just for the sake of having something to do. As life in Hectronar is very quiet for everyone, there is not much that a priest like him can do, beside the occasional wedding or the devout farmer who wants his water blessed.
__________________Sometimes he still goes hunting with his father and brothers, but even that is not very enjoyable nowadays as they don't like him making friends among the trading dwarfs, and constantly let it be known in what Delkin can only see as petty bigotry. Anyway, here he is now, wishing something new would happen, and in fact half-hoping that the steps he hears behind him are from someone who has somehow injured himself. At least he would be able to practice his abilities. Instead it's just Bredi, but with interesting news. "Tito? I've met him. Well, sort of, it was more my father meeting him and me listening in the back but...wait, what did you say? He wants to see us? Do you know why?" Last edited by Klionheart; 02-10-2010 at 04:08 PM. |

Zahra felt her heart constrict painfully. She had been dreading this meeting, not from fear but love. Seeing her mother's tears as she left Ar'shanya was not something she wanted to remember every time her mind harkened to home. With arms widened, she stepped forward and embraced her, inhaling her scent in deeply for the last time. "You know that I must, Mother, otherwise I shall not be able to earn my name." Stepping back, she looked to the ground, and continued in a steady voice, "I feel...restless though, as if Saya herself is calling me to go beyond this land." |

Norian sits up and turns his head towards Anson's voice. "Of course I want to get out of here but, this stupid map just shows me that there is more arctic, which means there is more cold, which also means there is more snow!"
__________________Norian incoherently mumbles under his voice about how much he hates snow. He then picks himself up off the ground and brushes the snow off of his shoulders. "I guess I just wasn't meant to leave this place and we'll probably have to live the rest of my life in this Arctic, wasting my life away making fur clothes all day... No offense An." Norian opens up the map to confirm that it just shows more north but before he could do that he realizes something. "Wait a second... Why did you follow me An?" |

Who you? Thrull asks. Not trusting the man approaching he grasps his club, stands up and takes a step towards the man. |

Bree enters room respectfully. Her demeanor gentle and slow. She approaches the desk of Seria and explains why she is here. [b]"Mother Seria, I had a dream. I had a dream from what I believe to be Saya herself. I was in the middle of the hills, much like the hills in the Bren Hills. And I was protecting and healing the halflings. And I was happy. When I woke up, I couldn't get this off of my mind. That's why I'm here. I love this place, but I don't know if this is a calling from Saya herself."

The man is burly, and sandy, possibly from travel. He is well-armed, and there is a camel next to him. It looks like he's been traveling for a while. He does not notice you. The messenger was respectful, knowing full well that this was the tribal leader's cousin. He bows slightly. "The leader wishes to see you to have your counsel on an urgent matter. If you would, sir, follow me?" Quote:
The Balconian guard leader steps forward and hands Neal a letter. A sealed letter is all you can see. Neal frowned and took the letter without opening it. The Balconians said to Neal. "My leader says you should answer him within three days." Neal nods and the travelers went away. Neal took the letter and opened it. He sighed loudly. He says to you and Keven. "I need to talk to you two, and all of your men. Quickly. Go gather all of the able body fighters that we have." Quote:
Bredi waits for you to get ready... Quote:
She sighed deeply and waved you back into the village. She says to you in a quiet tone. "Then I need to give you something. Come, my child. I promise I won't keep you any longer after I have shown you this. Let's go back home." Quote:

The older elf embraced her daughter as tightly as she could. She had seen the eyes. She had seen the stares. Even though she denied their existence, some part of her really didn't want to deal with it. Her father was a decent man, it was a mistake some years ago, but still, it didn't mattered. The half elf in front of her was her daughter. No matter what, she had to care for her. She said. "I understand, my child. But you should know something about your father. Come with me, my daughter..." She waits for you, as she is leading you back to your home. Quote:

Hesitantly, she nodded in agreement and followed her mother. Most of her belongings would have been ill used on the journey and in the end, she had decided on leaving with what she wore. Last edited by LaydeeD; 02-08-2010 at 02:23 AM. |

Aravel knew the proposal was coming for a while. Cara was attractive by anyone's standards with her golden locks neatly pleated in elaborate braids, and eyes that matched the blue of the sky on a clear day. He, however, was not interested in her. In fact he had turned away every girl that had proposed to him. Love was not something he had in his heart, not any more.
__________________After taking the scroll and quickly glancing over the seal he moved closer to Cara. Placing his right hand under her chin and lifting her face so that she would look straight into his eyes. The blush spread across her cheeks and he could practically see her fantasy playing out in her mind. However, he had no intention of fulfilling anyone's fantasy so with that he turned and began walking down the well-trodden dirt path towards his house. The disappointment was almost audible. Now he turned his attention to the scroll. The seal seemed familiar but he couldn't truly place it. So instead of wrecking his brains for where he had seen the seal before he unsealed it and started reading. Last edited by LuckyLukin; 02-08-2010 at 03:35 AM. |
