Just saying howdy! I'll work on the sheet tomorrow. Cendar, expect a few questions, maybe. I've never done a Favored Soul before.

Hey peoples. I just remembered, aren't we all retroactively assumed to know each other?

Yes, you should know each other, at least in passing. Most of you will probably have done things together, except perhaps Valentine, who is a loner. Everyone else will at least recognize the others and probably has had conversations with them.
However, there are things that you will not know about each others' characters and backgrouns, too. For example, no one but Robert knows IC about Nikolai's background, few if any except Robert know of Valentine's skeleton, etc. You get the idea. |

Everyone should know about the Avenguard housekobold (me).
__________________I sort of brushed past conversation and darted for the chair. If any of your characters have ever been in Robert's house then you will know and have spoken with Haley, so feel free to approach the scaly little diva. It was actually lucky that I posted before Seth did. It allowed me character development opportunities for jealousy of Merian. which ALSO gives me something in common with Silverbreeze according to the bio. I expect to use that for some mileage. Afterall what good is being a pampered pet if you dont get to be overprotective of your owner. |

That's what I figured, I'm sure Cheriss knows who the people in the Valley are, but I've doubt she's done more than associate with them very much unless they're into more... ahem "shady" activities, heh.
__________________If I'm wrong, let me know, but I assumed that this valley is pretty deep, so people just arriving and looking down into it aren't going to be able to recognize EXACTLY who's down there, so being able to identify there's "some people" down there seems about right to me, until you get down there. Also I did notice about Haley's quick dart for the chair, so I think that she and Cheriss will get along quite well.

Oh yes, the rivals of love should produce much drama and hilarity. At least Sierra's known Robert long enough that he's more like a brother, so she gets to laugh at it from the sidelines.

That's what I figured. It's true I wrote myself into a loner, but I also had Robert trying to fix that, with decreasing success as time went by. So everybody should at least be able to think "hey, isn't that the bookworm kid? what was his name again?" or something like that.

Alright, Seth hasn't been active since March 1. Per Chronicles Rules (CR) Sec. II(B)(1), I am looking for a replacement to take over his character on a temp basis, to be turned into a permanent basis on Seth's continued absence and on liking of the new player.

As the thing is barely just starting, I think you should roleplay Robert giving up and starting the meeting without Seth's character.
__________________Then, if Seth comes back with an acceptable justification, you two can work on a way for him to catch up with the rest of the council (hopefully a couple levels behind). |

I'll definitely take that into consideration. I'll give the alternate players a day or two to decide whether they want to take over, then if they don't I'll move on and probably NPC Merian until either Seth returns or a suitable alternative player is found.

Today was both an amazing day and a terrible one at the same time. I found out that I my wife is having a baby girl (we have two boys). Then I was told at work that I am being let go and only have two weeks left. Because of this I have no idea how much free time I will have if any, and all my computer time will be spent on online classes or looking for a job. This means I am going to have to withdraw from this site for a time and don’t know if I am going to return. This has happened before and I think I am too unreliable for PbP. I thoroughly enjoy RPing with you all and feel terrible that I have wasted your time. I am really sorry for this. Good luck with your future gaming.

That's really too bad. That means two players missing before we really even get started.
Sorry about you losing your job, man. That's really awful. I'll be praying for you. But congrats on the baby! Last edited by Cendar; 03-11-2010 at 09:09 PM. |

Amadar, my condolences to you for the job loss. Being a college student in need of money, I know what a pain it can be looking for a job. But, like Cendar says, congradulations on the newest member of your family!
__________________To everyone else, I'll be taking over for Seth, and assuming the role of Merian. I hope to be with you all through the good times and the bad (*cough*MsDrake*cough*). I've done the research on the campaign background and character BG, but it'll take me a bit to get in to the swing of being a moody teen once more. Sheesh. And I thought I had moved beyond that already... |
