Hypothetically, if one did not have a copy of the DMG on hand (one had left it at home and one was at college, per se), what is the standard starting gold for a 2nd level character?

Concentration = Spellcraft

Doesn't make sense if you want to adapt martial adepts, who use concentration very differently than casters, who now do concentration in a different, non-skill based manner.

Both are skill based in the sense that both make skill checks with the skill. Unless I missed something about how Cendar changed how casters keep casting through damage. It is odd now that spellcasters will use Concentration to identify a spell being cast, but I guess the reasoning behind that is that a caster can recognize a spell if only they can concentrate on it in the middle of battle.

No, I kept Concentration seperate, and it's actually going to be getting a lot more play soon, once I get a few other things finalized. A lot more things will depend on making a concentration check.

Ah, so Concentration does not equal Spellcraft?

I meant in Pathfinder that Concentration is Spellcraft, sorry for the confusion :P

So, I was doing some thinking today, and I came to the conclusion that fighting takes slot of energy. Now, I know thy each round is supposed to be 6 seconds, but after a few minutes, that much fighting can get wearisome. So, what if, after a set number of rounds, you had to make a CON check? If you fail it, you take a penalty to attack/damage, or something lido that? Speaking in gaming terms, a few minutes is something like 20 or 30 rounds, so that's probably not going to come in to play... BUT... If it does happen, well, then we have something to make the game a little more realistic.

Definitely a possibility. I'll work on a full mechanic for that.

Wouldn't that be the fatigued & exhausted levels that DnD gives us? Perhaps after a certain number of minutes of fighting you must make a Fort Save to avoid fatigue?

I'd say 2 + 1/2 level + Con bonus. And yes, I think a fort save works better.

Hey, I love brainstorming. And yep, you're right, fatigue is exactly what I had in mind... I wonder how that got lost in translation from brain to fingertips...
