Well, considering most of the paper will be me quoting supreme court case rulings, its not a long paper as it is... plus I'm a fast typer.

LOLOLOL! Yeah, okay, adding court case quotes will really expand a paper's length FAST.

I'm not a slouch of a typer, but I'm constantly editing and re-editing, even as I write, so I can hesitate over many words. Give me time, I'll write more than most people, but I can't actually get the words onto paper as quick as most folks.

Well, when its a paper on the decisions of the Supreme Court involving first amendment rights, it would be hard not to quote the supreme court decisions. And most of my papers have something to do with court cases so I generally have to quote cases and arguments alot.

Well, I wish my papers could be half quotes. Scientific papers don't do that so much, you have to say what they said in other words, and add more to it, and that's only one small part of it.

Heh... my favourite paper:

Japanese High School Social Relationships as Portrayed in "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya"

Wasn't so full of quotes as a legal paper, but it was pretty darn fun to do the research for the paper! =D

Well a typical poly-sci paper is basically, quote the precedent, then explain it in normal, non-politician talk, then explain why it falls into your agument. And if you do it right, you may even be able to explain the solution to the issue at hand... meanwhile I take a dinner break for now while trying to explain the difference between finding someone innocent and finding the law he was charged with breaking as unconstituional... its hard when that guy was blatantly wrong and the court pretty much skimmed over why the law was poorly worded

I switched majors from engineering to literature late my junior year because I'd rather be writing something, anything, than crunching the more meaningless math numbers I had to do to get to where I wanted to be as an engineer. It's not the same as creative writing, but if you really work hard at your skillset, you can make it come pretty close.

mmmmmm creative writing... delicious! To be good enough to do that for a living! It would be amazing! I just recently entered a contest, and though I didn't place, I got a lot of compliments on my piece! It made me so happy!

I'm in a fairly good mood ^.^ (I post this knowing full well that as a result 100 might be punished XP )

I finished my paper... stupid R.A.V. v. St. Paul with their stupid law wording... All they need to do is say that its illegal to use words that are intended to injure another person or that incite an immediate breach of the peace and they go and they go and make a law that says words and actions that incite anger, alarm or resentment are illegal... I mean, this whole paper would not exist if those idiots just worded their law to follow the preceding court cases that defined fighting words... GAWD!
