Parlay's attention is now fixated on this strange fellow demanding his money. Glancing to the man associates in the tree he laughs to himself. "
Now Now Kroth, this man here is a potential business partner, do be nice." The tiefling steps forward, his obvious heritage showing and he makes no effort to hide, or show that he is not unlike the common Tiefling.
"
You good sir are a man who seems to know what's what, and who knows what you want, but Our gold is meager compared to what we could help you get." Parlay looks to the healers coin purse and motions his hand. "
Pick that up he won't be needing this petty change." His gaze then turns back to this brigand. "
Now my good man let's picture what I'm about to tell you shall we?" Parlay now makes his way very close to the man known as Therold, close enough that should the man want to he could rend him through with his blade.
"
Me and my charge here are looking for a caravan just north of here, that is en route to that little town to the south. It is being led by a merchant known as Willhelm who has procured a spell book of great age and renown back in my home land. Willhelm also carries with him a slough of gems, and books that are of great worth." Parlay takes a breath and continues. "
Since you are so adamant that you would like our money you can have what is left on this caravan. Money, and other goods, so long as we get this spell book. Unfortunately this book cannot be opened by anyone who is not of an infernal heritage, hence why I am sent to do this task."
Satisfied with what he just told Therold, Parlay pats him on the shoulder. "
So are you in this for petty cash? or are you in this for the big money? You and your men could take this merchant and his traveling party easily with us, and the riches would be yours. Sound fair?"
