Alko reels about as if she's on the deck of a small ship in the midst of a hurricane, but with steady "sea legs" she manages not to fall over. She will attach herself to whoever is closest like an overly large -- albeit very friendly -- limpet. That unfortunate companion will have to bear the drunkard's presence for the night, as Alko is happily oblivious to any words of protest. Hopefully the presence of a more principled friend will keep the monk from imbibing any further alcohol.

Centripus will gladly assist the drunken Alko to a comfortable bed for the evening, preventing her from imbibing further and detering with his glaive any attempts to belittle his charge.

The prospect of returning to the crowd eager to gaze and praise upon the heroes, was quite appealing to Hypatia. Perhaps someone would regale her with a tale of their own, maybe she would perform, or she might just take the time too enjoy the attention (quite something she became addicted to after being one of 8 other children).
"Frankly, I see us in no rush to our prize" for all that prize might be worth "and I certainly do not wish to spend another night out in that terrible lifestyle that you call camping" the very word makes me cringe "Let us enjoy our night, our victory, among the townsfolk" And perhaps these repressed men could finally get laid she chuckled lightly to herself and continued, "I think it could do you guys some good" and then some Last edited by Hypotia Itari; 07-01-2010 at 05:16 PM. |

The same shadowy characters followed you back to the Bloody Troll Tavern, but they did not follow you inside. Those that still remained within the tavern after the It's roughly one in the morninglong night looked at you, surprised that you had come back to the tavern. It seemed that their surprise stemmed from the truthful rumor that you had been given a house for your deeds. Elming, who still stood diligently behind the counter, motioned you over. As the first of you arrived, he chuckled, seeming to understand the situation than most of the drunkards still within his tavern's walls. "I suppose you'll be needing rooms then, free of charge of course. It's not so easy to find a house outside the city gates in the dark, is it?"

Severious tries to smile but he is quite ready to pass out for the night. "Thanks, You know anything about this house?" Severious asks before he promptly falls asleep on his free of charge bed.

Anders is glad for the offer of a room, and he makes the most of it, going straight to bed for the night.

Alko glances hopefully towards the bar, but a firm guiding hand from her burly chaperon for the night steers her away and towards the stairs. The monk shuffles over to the first bed she lays eyes on (occupied or otherwise) and promptly slumps her frame across the sheets, snoring lightly almost before her head touches the pillow.

Too tired to be much bothered that they hadn't found the house yet, Chayim thanked the man and was at the point of heading to the rooms himself when he heard the other haflings question and waited with one hand on the door to see what he could hear before he turned in.

Hypatia was handed her room key, and she set off to find her room. Finally matching the number on the key to the door number. She passed through the entrance and saw a small but cozy room. The furniture was of solid oak, and the walls were divided with wooden panels and soft rose color. The nice room, only made Hypatia reminisce about her family, despite the less luxurious room than ones she grew up in. She could remember the times she had with her many siblings, the books, the sweet fresh cut flowers brought to her bed, the warm supper that greeted her every evening...
In time her day dreams faded, as she let out a sigh. In the middle of the room was a bed. It seemed almost to glow with pure white light. "A bed! I felt like I haven't seen one in ages. To leave behind a time of camping, and actually sleep in a soft kind bed... and soon she was fast asleep, dreaming of adventures. |

Artemis accepts the room key with a nod and heads off to find said room. Upon doing so he breathes a sigh of relief when he sees the bed. "Finally...A decent nights sleep." He removes his armor quickly and makes sure his belongings are stowed away safely before crawling into bed and falling asleep.

Elming gave a quick shrug as your group walked up the stairs and into the rooms. "It's been here for as long as I've known. It's pretty big from what I hear. Smart of ol' Enwarten, trying to tie a bunch of people like you down to Port Gast like that. Not that you asked, of course."
__________________With that, he ushered you off to your respective rooms. None of them were all that impressive, but the soft bed, nightstand, and old desk that filled each of the rooms were quite a few steps up from the tent that Cecil and his companions had provided you. The night grew gradually more and more silent as the last bar patrons trickled (and at times stumbled) back to their houses. Eventually, the night grew silent except for the gentle sounds of the ocean that ushered you into sleep. As is accustomed with the first night returned from an adventure, many of you slept until nearly noon. The sun swept over the port town and oversaw the daily bustle. Inside the tavern at which you slept, you and a few other not so early risers were all that filled the tables that had been filled the night before. A lazy breakfast is served, presuming you choose to accept it, and then the town is open to you for you to do what you will. |

Engaging with the breakfast in typical halfling style, Chayim hardly spoke for a full hour. Eventually, wiping a spot of egg yolk from his chin with a napkin, he looked up and took notice of who else had joined him in the dining room. "Well, we've been told the house is fairly big, and old enough to maybe have a story to tell. But not haunted, or anything like that. Shall we go and see what we can see?"

Artemis finishes off what little he had taken for his breakfast and nods towards the halfling. "I think we all have waited long enough. Let's get this over with now." He was quite eager to dispel what illusions he and his "companions" have had about this house. Hopefully it wouldn't be as bad as he had suspected, though he wasn't holding his breath on that one.

Even with Furball spending a full hour on his morning meal, the halfling is almost done by the time Alko shambles down the stairs, yawning widely. She nods sleepily as she hears the proposed plan, but shuffles over towards the bar for her...breakfast, which seems to consist primarily of pick-me-up drinks. A few of them. She then promptly climbs the stairs again and disappears for a further half an hour.
__________________Her absence is explained when she returns, wet hair flying and damp footprints marking every third stair in her wild descent that tests the structural integrity of the wooden staircase. Visibly more sprightly with alcohol returned to her system, the monk works through a short routine of stretches, not caring that her robe shifts somewhat revealingly as she does so. Nearly everyone is finished with breakfast by the time Alko seats herself at the table. She eats enough for a man twice her size - and quickly, at that. Despite her late start, she finishes her meal - three pieces of toast, two apples, a plateful of bacon, four eggs, and a tankard of ale she somehow managed to procure from the bewildered barkeep - with the rest of the new house-owners. Brushing her mouth with the back of her hand, she rises and gives a resounding belch of satisfaction. "So are we going now?" Last edited by reivision; 07-09-2010 at 04:23 PM. |
