 If you'd like to craft stories and play role playing games
with thousands of people from around the world,
you've come to the right place!
RPG Crossing is a 40,000+ member online community that focuses on play by post role playing games (PBP RPG) and features such systems as Dungeons and Dragons (2e, 3e, 3.5e, 4e, 5e), Pathfinder, GURPS, d20 Modern, Serenity, Star Wars, Storytelling (World of Darkness) and many more. We are an active community with many new games looking for players every day, and with plentiful guides and tutorials for the new player and the veteran alike, including: New Player Solo Games to introduce new players to PBP and/or RPing; and DM Mentoring - a forum full of collaborative DM tools.
We also publish Explosive Runes, a terrific free role playing magazine with stunning artwork and great articles.
Free membership also gives access to our character sheets. We currently host over 82000 sheets for 10 different role playing systems!

Outplay 2023 - Is it too early to start thinking about this? Of course not! This year will have a few notable changes, such as a Code of Conduct for all participants. We are planning on using the Outplay System again this year, revised for whatever setting/theme the community votes to play in.

There were many applications and in each and every one of them, we noticed your support and loyalty to the site. It made us humble to see the dedication, the amount of help and guidance offered to this site, and the talent and skills there were amongst the applicants. I think it is safe to say making the decision was a challenge, we could see potential in everyone but we had to decide and cut the knot (Dutch expression)

CONGRATZZZ for the Post-of-the-Month January winner: DemonSlayer!!! Not only there was high praise coming from Grouchy; mentioning your attention to detail, the description of the lessons in-game and the overall tone of the post --> it is outstanding. And it is not just Grouchy who spotted that, our PotM judges full-heartedly agreed with Grouchy's sentiment.
