If you'd like to craft stories and play role playing games
with thousands of people from around the world,
you've come to the right place!
RPG Crossing is a 40,000+ member online community that focuses on play by post role playing games (PBP RPG) and features such systems as Dungeons and Dragons (2e, 3e, 3.5e, 4e, 5e), Pathfinder, GURPS, d20 Modern, Serenity, Star Wars, Storytelling (World of Darkness) and many more. We are an active community with many new games looking for players every day, and with plentiful guides and tutorials for the new player and the veteran alike, including: New Player Solo Games to introduce new players to PBP and/or RPing; and DM Mentoring - a forum full of collaborative DM tools.
We also publish Explosive Runes, a terrific free role playing magazine with stunning artwork and great articles.
Free membership also gives access to our character sheets. We currently host over 82000 sheets for 10 different role playing systems!
The RPG Crossing community has now raised $715—we've met our goal to exceed last year's total! That means that all CS members who received a full year membership (purchased or gifted) in December will get +1 months added at the end of the campaign!
The extension of the drive to Jan 5 still stands—and if we hit $1000 raised for charity, I'll give all those folks another extra month!
AND we still have matching funding for over $100 in donations left, so your donations will count double towards charity!
I've extended the charity and membership drive to Jan 5, but we are running out of time! Help us meet our charity goal!
Reminder: if we hit $706 (and beat last year's total) all CS memberships purchased during the drive will get an extra month!
UPDATE: We are at $545, and have just received an anonymous offer to MATCH the next $200 in donations made through any means to our campaign. So for the next little while, your contributions will count double towards the charity drive!
Wow. We're almost at the end of the year and the RPGX community really outdid itself with November nominations. This was a tough job - so many fantastic posts.
Now, with no further delay: the Post of the Month winner for November 2016 is ... zany!
You can read the winning entry here. Please congratulate zany for this exemplary work.
Zany's post seems pretty simple. But it's the simplicity that really resonated with our judges. An unusual character with an unusual point of view, and it truly stands out in every word of this post. Without being overt or showy, this post gives us a wonderful insight into Jack's personality, his past, his preconceptions, and sets the table for something interesting and transformative to come. Very nice work.
The other nominations for November 2016 can be read here. Each is an exceptional entry and well worth the read.
The PotM contest for December 2016 is going on now. Be sure to nominate your favorite posts from the month of December. And remember - it's your last chance to get in the running for the 2016 Post of the Year, to be awarded in January.
Best wishes to all in our community in this holiday season!
