 If you'd like to craft stories and play role playing games
with thousands of people from around the world,
you've come to the right place!
RPG Crossing is a 40,000+ member online community that focuses on play by post role playing games (PBP RPG) and features such systems as Dungeons and Dragons (2e, 3e, 3.5e, 4e, 5e), Pathfinder, GURPS, d20 Modern, Serenity, Star Wars, Storytelling (World of Darkness) and many more. We are an active community with many new games looking for players every day, and with plentiful guides and tutorials for the new player and the veteran alike, including: New Player Solo Games to introduce new players to PBP and/or RPing; and DM Mentoring - a forum full of collaborative DM tools.
We also publish Explosive Runes, a terrific free role playing magazine with stunning artwork and great articles.
Free membership also gives access to our character sheets. We currently host over 82000 sheets for 10 different role playing systems!

August was a month full of sun, outside in the Netherlands and here, at the Crossing. Thanks to a splendid post written by mountainbound we have a clear, bright, and sunny winner!!!! Congrats on winning the Post of the Month August 2023!!! To quote one of the judges this post was filled with good images, strong words, and good size/length. A good, solid game-type post that pulls from everyone, and adds to everything, getting the story moving. Very descriptive of the scene.

The much-anticipated application for the inaugural volunteers of the Collaboration, Accessibility, Community, and Equity (CACE) taskforce is now live.
The purpose of the CACE taskforce is to help shape the policy and procedures for the site while creating a more harmonious and attentive community. We want our community members to feel welcomed and supported and have the tools necessary so that they can continue to succeed at what we do best here, telling great stories.
This initial task is to recruit 5-7 members to create a "Best Practices and Resources for Inclusive Gaming," thread and aid in laying the groundwork for future endeavors, including shaping the charter of the taskforce. This group is expected to complete and publish the thread by no later than March 31, 2024. Current expectations include reporting into the group once a week and volunteering at least 5 hours per month to research and discussion. This group will be chaired by wodine.
Who we’re looking for:
This role doesn’t require any specific training or abilities, but the role does require passion and commitment. We’re looking for individuals who are sensitive to the diverse needs of the gaming community and who are willing to put in the labor to make the site a better place for our players.

Outplay 2023 has reached its end! This year we used a simplified re-write of the Outplay System with a Space Theme. Our computers set out to travel across the galaxy and settle a new home for Humans on a planet that came to be known as New Eden. Have you been following the action? In the end, we had two competitors:
squirmonkey playing the Counselor from Mars, David Albright
Quicksilv playing an engineer from earth known as Samuel Adams
