January POTM
Feb 17, 2019 - 11:47 AM - by Admin Dirk
Where I sit today, there's snow on the ground, with more forecast to come. Which makes it nice that there is such a rich library of excellent posts to read, nominated by the gamers here for Post of the Month.

And what a collection of good posts there was for the first month of the year. It was a hard choice among our judges, but we finally settled on one for the January POTM.

And that winner is:

Skep!

You can read the winning entry HERE, so please, go and enjoy it!

It's a nice, tight post, filled with details, in an excellent, easy to read format. It ticked a lot of boxes for the judges!

Please congratulate Skep, and be sure to enjoy the other nominations from January. You can find them here. Each is an excellent entry and well worth the read.

The PotM contest for February 2019 is going on now. Be sure to nominate your favorite posts from the month, and let's reward those among us with praise for their prose!

Post of the Year (POTY) for 2018
Jan 31, 2019 - 9:49 PM - by Admin Dirk
For the judges the Post of the Month and Post of the Year contests, the end of one year and the beginning of another means we're faced with the fiendishly difficult but immensely enjoyable task of deciding which one stood out above all the others, of choosing which single post represented the best work done on the site for all of 2018.

That's darn near impossible, of course. Selecting the best from the best is never easy, especially with both Dirk and Squeak in the process, but finally the smarter heads prevailed and a consensus was reached.

Please join the judges in congratulating our Post of the Year winner for 2018 -Sassafrass!

You can read Sass's's winning post here.

Get on over to read it, and feel the shivers race up your goose-bumped skin. Follow Sass as the words create the slow building tension of a haunted house, complete with creepy poems, unsettling noises, and the realization that some things are not what they seem. It is truly chill-inspiring horror, crafted lovingly on the page.

Many thanks to everyone who took the time to nominate posts for this year, and of course thanks to everyone who wrote those wonderful posts. We're accepting entries now for the January Post of the Month contest, so if you want to be in the running for the 2019 Post of... [Read More]
Welcome Admin Dirk!

You've known him as dirkoth, but now you shall know him as Admin Dirk!

It's been four years since we've added a new admin at RPG Crossing, and it's time for a reinforcement. Admin Dirk needs little introduction. He has been a solid and generous staff member, organiser, and general contributor at RPG Crossing for a long time, and I look forward to having him on board.

Welcome, Admin Dirk!
