May Post of the Month
Jun 16, 2018 - 9:01 AM - by dirkoth
Just like proverbial May flowers, this month practically bloomed with excellent posts. We had so many good ones, we had to call in extra help to judge them. It was tough, and a hard fought battle that saw a near three way tie for Post of the Month, but since only one can win...

I am happy to announce that the Post of the Month winner for May 2018 is ... Kapera!

In this post, her character Nolia, a dryad, is meeting up with the rest of the party for the first time, along with her NPC troll friend. Kapera paints a vivid picture of despair, loneliness, and determination, which morphs into elation at finding her friend alive. Nolia then navigates a social interaction with half a dozen strangers, and Kapera does a great job of portraying her thought processes and feelings as she does so.

You can read the winning entry HERE, so please, go and enjoy it!

Please congratulate Kapera and be sure to enjoy the other nominations from May 2018. You can find them here. Each is an excellent entry and well worth the read.

The PotM contest for June 2018 is going on now. Be sure to nominate your favorite posts from the month, and let's reward those among us with praise for their prose! They can't win, if you don't do YOUR part, and nominate.
April Post of the Month!
May 13, 2018 - 10:21 AM - by dirkoth
April showers bring May flowers, and sadly, those showers seemed to keep a lot of folks from nominating their favorite players. However, we had some good RPG'ers come through, and nominate some excellent posts. This month, one of them stood out to the judges, and we awarded it the April POTM.

I am happy to announce that the Post of the Month winner for April 2018 is ... Dressedtojazz!

Dressed writes a great little story that showcases a change in a Player Character, giving us just a peek at the PC, as he grows into a new role (perhaps) within the party. It's a nice read into Hector as he leads a group of escaped slaves through the trials and tribulations of freedom, and realizes that he too is paying a price.
