For the first part, many of you know of the Cat-Weasel.

As for the second part, I noticed while I was playing that I was only giving RPXP to my fellow players, and never to my DM, and the DM is the one that does all of the work. So I started to be more conscious about it, and remind others to do so too.

Water finds its own level is an old proverb. Maybe chinese because we all know the best proverbs come from the chinese. Mostly it means that somethings in life it's better to let them take their own course. You can try but often it's as futile as trying move water back up river.

And it's a play on my the spell my screenname is based one. Create water belongs to the lowest level of magic.

There is a possibility it refers to the fact that I and my characters will reach the level they were destined to reach even if I don't know what that may be now.

I can't believe I'm doing this...

The first part of my signature is in Russian. If you are seeing more than six figures, you're getting a garbled version rather than the actual phrase. Unicode views it properly, but the standard Western does not. It translates roughly as "I don't know."

The second part of my signature is strictly temporary, and is there to let my players/DM know that I am once again connected and posting.

On an only-slightly-related note, "DM of the Rings" is fantastic. Everyone should check it out.

Mine is a quote from a Dragonlance short story. Its sort of an inspirational quote kind of like the "People will come, Ray." soliloquy from Field of Dreams by the amazing James Earl Jones.

You should see the Zuni narrative poetry book that I drew my inspiration from. That stuff is all over the page but I love reading it. I'm not so good at reading it out loud which is truly how it's supposed to be done. Still, it's good for a change of pace. The spacing is meant to represent an actual long pause while a youngster visits with an elder. Given sig rules, I can't have anymore lines than 4 so I left out some other things that might be found in that narrative style.
