Hints of Hugga (Ask me stuff!)

Yes, here is a thread where you can ask things to me, and I will give you answers. Right up front, I will be clear enough to let you know that I don't promise to answer things completely, or in fact at all - all answers are at my digression. So no, I will not tell you my PIN code. Again.

And yes, Amy and Embro may or may not have contributed to the creation of this thread

On the topic of Amy*, he claimed that it would take him less than 24 hours to find this... lets see just how long it will take him!

* some may call him...AxeMan...

hehe

Well, this thread is a pretty well-travelled thread. It has been through a few of my games so far. I can't remember where it started, but it has been in "The Three Evils", "Trouble Runs Deeper", "The Four Nations", before resting here. (I dodged games that (a) Amy was in, and (b) mods were in )

I also made sure I opened other windows right after I worked on it (eg, posting, editing), and held off moving it until I had newer threads to hide it behind.

And, I called it something bizarre to start with, so by the time I edited it, there were enough posts of mine atop it that you wouldn't notice

But still, it counts as a win, right?

Here's what I can get of the history of the movings:

It doesn't have the rest of the movements, unfortunately. The edit there (04-05-2008 at 02:42 PM, my time. You found it at 04-11-2008 at 08:46am, my time. So that's...5 days, 18 hours and 4 minutes? ) was renaming it and actually putting the above text in. (instead of the "blah" there initially)

Well, yes. It counts as a win.

As for my countermeasures, I was checking your Hugga-posts and Hugga-threads-started every day. I went back several pages because you get lots of posters in your games. Each time I went back several days, and I checked ALL threads based on number of posts in-thread, not thread name.

Go figure.

OK, so I should move this to a proper spot...hrmm, where to next?

Of course, you have a link now. I wonder if I could somehow break that link?

If you break the link, I'll find the break and the new location within 24 hours.

So, Hugga. What is the most rewarding part of DnDOG for you:

1) DMing
2) Playing
3) Socializing outside of games

yeah, now that I have given my secrets, I probably can't trick you twice

Now, onto some good questions to start with!

For the first, I think it is the player's reactions, in character, out of character, and in the fact that some stay around for years! It's good to see players playing your game, but it's great to hear their reactions, be they of enjoyment, of appropriate annoyance*, or any other strong, emotional reaction.

* that is, annoyed at someone/something in the game, not at the DM or another player. eg: "Gargh, that NPC just got away! Now I will devote my life to seeing him caught", as opposed to "Oh, he just got away, hvg3, stop cheating..."

The second, possibly seeing my characters grow and change over time. Fixing flaws or correcting views, adapting to other people, or just learning and becoming a better person.
Of course, secrets between me and a DM are lots of fun, and finally seeing them revealed after a long time can be great.

The third...hrmm...I guess you aren't counting keeping this thread from you for 5+ days?
I also can't count things such as the GRD thread, which has been locked and buried at sea now. No, the "D" part wasn't that great, but before it would blow up in flames, it was a great place to (try?) actually discuss what is close to a person's core values. What makes them tick, and so forth. Sadly, text is such a poor medium for such talks, as feelings and meanings are so easily lost without hearing tones, or seeing body language.

I like talking with people, finding out who they are. More than names / occupations and so forth. I also find that hard via posts! But its great when a friend from the forums moves to be a friend in a more general setting, such as a regular chatter on MSN, or the like.

basically, its a place to find out more about me. For those few who really want to!

Amy came up with the idea, Embro copied it, and so I copied it again.

Why Amy?
