A satyr rises in the morning, and hangs the coffee mug on his horns, so that he won't lose it.
The coffee is done, but the mug isn't in its usual spot. Where did it go? He forgot.
Name: Guiles (goes by Gui like 'Guy') Kerting
Age: 16 Gender: Blue
Cool Thing: A simple gold ring with some markings. Just a family ringer passed down on Father's side. Normally worn on a string.
Background: It's not an uncommon thing to learn about these games through the game stores, the online sites, etc. So, a local game is found, and Gui Wanted to play. He has had groups before, but they come and go, and this is the latest one. He doesn't mind playing with older people - You can't be picky sometimes when it comes getting a chance to play!
Personality: Gui is a little bit of an in between. Somewhat Social, somewhat shy. When it's something he knows a bit more about he'll talk, but sometimes he tends to just be reserved. he also likes to play 'odd mixes' sometimes, which is on reason that he picked gryphon out of the species list. It's not every day your character runs around on four legs and feathers. Wings, sure; beaks, not so common. Course, he did also pick druid - he may like strange things, but no sense putting himself too much at a disadvantage!
Other info: Gui is a brown hair, brown eyed Teenager. Fair skinned, not too skinny, not too fat. Jeans and a nice Tee are his standards of outfits, and he would love to go to a convention someday, but it's enough o a pickle getting his parents to let him go play these DnD games with people they don't know - they don't trust him enough at a convention yet (and they don't really want to go themselves).
The Hero! Kedrith the Gryphon
Race: Gryphon (cause even with two other potential gryphons it's still my favorite pick at the moment)
Stats: Male, equivalent to a 19 year human, Neutral Good
Class: Storm druid (Druid with archetype)
Appearance: yellow/brown beak, strong red feathers with traces of black markings and some shading more to orange for accents. Rumor has it he likes to color them differently now and then. If we assume this is a gryphon that clearly has a furred lower body and not feathers, the fur is not plain tan, but a somewhat more toned back shading of red from the feathers, while scaling is more yellow and sharp pointy claw things are a nice black.
Background: Kedrith has an ulterior motive...riches! Well, not really riches, but if this place is as desert-like as it sounds, someone who can manipulate weather and earth might be pretty handy. Good excuse to get some popularity among land workers, and handy powers for dealing with baddies. Plus, you can make the perfect wind, a cozy place to nap, ladies dig it when you can grow them an entire bloody tree than just hand them some poor plucked flowers. Everybody loves a gryphon...except whatever ends up your dinner.
I guess that went a little into a tangent: Kedrith values the experience involved in heroics, and there is more to living than just Ideal planting season. The powers of a Druid always seem to be handy, and a flyer of the skies can appreciate having good conditions for other flyers like himself.
Other: Obviously, the player is not the character per se, but under the circumstances...you find yourself stuck in a body that isn't yours or remotely like it, dealing with new features, new level of appetite...He's certainly grateful he can at least' conjure' his own food at some point. Still getting use to no pants though...

Name: Teresa "Terri" Acciai Age: 19 Gender: Terri is too a girl's name! Cool Thing: Her semi-acoustic guitar. (This can be played with or without an amp, though without one it is notably less loud than a standard acoustic guitar.) Background:
Terri is the daughter of a middle school band conductor and a record store owner (at least until the record store went under, about five years ago), and the oldest of three siblings. Largely because of her parents' careers, music has always been a big part of Terri's life. Her father taught her to play the flute from a young age, and Terri was an eager student... up until she started attending the school where he worked. At an age where she was inclined to strike out on her own and distance herself from her parents, having her father be the band director was quite embarrassing.
When she was thirteen, Terri abandoned the flute and turned her attention to heavy metal--listening to it on the radio, trying to learn the guitar from internet videos (the lack of an actual guitar to play was a problem, but she didn't let it deter her). Her parents were not outraged, as she had secretly hoped they would be, but they were at least sufficiently confused. Her mother even decided it was a good excuse to teach Terri some good financial habits and encouraged her to save up for a guitar.
What started out mostly as rebellion soon became a genuine passion; Terri was astonished to find how many bizarre variations and obscure sub-genres of metal there were, and took great delight in exploring them. When she was sixteen, the work of a certain operatic metal band got her interested in Dragonlance, and she sought out the high school D&D club (which wasn't a real club, just a couple of guys who hung out in the biology lab after school). Although Terri's infatuation with that particular band has faded, she still enjoys tabletop gaming and likes to create characters inspired by whatever song, band or album has her attention at the moment.
Terri's been out of school for about a year now, and is struggling to get a band together and get her own music career off the ground. Added to that frustration is a nerve-wracking string of minimum wage jobs that she keeps getting fired from, so gaming has become especially important to Terri as a way to blow off steam. She's a little dubious of this new campaign though. It looks... fuzzy. Still, she's been in the mood for something bright and optimistic (a nice contrast to her life) so it could be cool.
Personality: Terri is passionate and enthusiastic, but impatient and perhaps a little flighty. The way she sees it, if something isn't working out, it's better to shift gears and try something else, rather than wasting time and effort on something futile. That usually doesn't mean she'll abandon a task or project entirely; rather she'll try different methods or angles, sometimes without giving one approach time to succeed before dismissing it and moving on to something else. Despite her somewhat rash personality, Terri is actually fairly book-smart. She's pretty good at memorizing details, doing math problems, working out logic puzzles, that sort of thing.
Terri tends to be very open with her feelings, whether good or bad, which is a big part of why she's had a hard time holding down a job. She's very supportive, even protective, of her friends, applying the mentality of a big sister even to people quite a bit older than her.
Other Info: Despite her musical background/obsession, Terri has never played a bard.
RP Sample:
"Maybe your mind is playing tricks, you sense and suddenly eyes fix on dancing shadows..."
Terri tossed her head back and forth, her chin-length black hair whipping about, as she pounded on her steering wheel with the palms of her hands. Her car, a battered hand-me-down older than she was, rocked slightly with her movement. She had been parked on the side of the road at her friend's house for a couple of minutes now; the DM's driveway was already clogged with cars, and Terri could plainly see she was the last to arrive.
She wouldn't hold them up much longer; she just wanted to catch the end of the song. Terri didn't think that this cover was better than the original, which had definitely earned its status as a classic, but it was certainly a good deal stranger, which made it that much more fascinating to listen to.
"I am a man who walks alone..."
As the final line was murmured over the resonant hum of the backup singers, Terri turned the car off and flung open her door. She practically jumped out of the vehicle, her clunky boots thudding against the pavement. Weight was an important factor in her choice of footwear; she liked shoes that felt heavy. She turned back to the car and retrieved her phone from the tangle of cords she had used to hook it into the vehicle's tape deck. She slipped it into a small purse, then slung that over her shoulder, followed by a large tote bag which contained various binders, gaming books, and slightly crumpled loose pages. Having gathered everything she thought she would need, Terri slammed the door behind her and bolted up the driveway to her friend's house. She hammered on the door with both hands until somebody opened it for her.
"Hey!" Terri said, barely managing to stop her hand in time to avoid hitting her friend. "Sorry I'm late, I was--"
"Sitting in your car and abusing your steering wheel," her friend replied. "For like five minutes."
"It wasn't five--how did you even know?"
"There are these things called windows, Terri. People can look through them and see what's going on outside."
Terri sighed and ran a hand through her hair. "Yeah, right, right. Sorry. I was just trying to unwind a bit. I've had such a bad day and it's such a good song. Now I'm feeling way better so I'm good to go with this game! Is everyone else ready?"
"Just about, I think. Boss is gonna wanna look over your character sheet before we get started. You did finish that right? Or are you still waffling between healer and tank? In case you are, I think we're good on muscle..."
"Thought I'd split the difference, try a paladin." Terry pushed past her friend and into the next room, where the rest of the group had gathered and were already starting on various caffeinated or alchoholic beverages. Most of her friends were absorbed in their own discussions, or in their own little worlds, so her arrival went mostly unnoticed, but the DM made eye contact with her and held out an expectant hand.
Terri hurried over to him, settling her purse and her tote bag on the table. She rummaged through the tote bag first and pulled out a few sheets of paper, relatively smooth and neat compared to some of the tattered old pages in there. "Alright, here's my character, I don't think I messed anything up with that." Once the DM had a firm hold of the documents, she dug through her purse and produced a wadded up five dollar bill. "And my share for the pizza. Or were we doing chinese this week?"
"Pizza," the DM said absentmindedly as he glanced over her sheet. "You really want to blow a feat on this nonlethal damage thing? It's not really that good and you don't have that many feats to begin with."
"Totally sure. It really feels right for this guy. So, is it all good?"
"Yeah, it's fine."
"Great!" Terri pounded her fist on the table, startling the rest of the group out of their conversations and musings. "Then let's get started!"

Reason: Added sheet
Name: Miles Abercroft
Age: 15
Gender: Blue
Cool Thing: Miles' complete collection of Bone Comics, colored editions, with which he is obsessed. His ADHD means he often likes to read the comic while doing other things, like gaming.
Background: Bugged the group long enough by dropping in on their sessions that they let him join to shut him up.
Personality: Talks way too much, even when it's not in his best interest, but quite good with smartaleck comments. Very ADHD, prone to sudden leaps of logic/interest, depending on how exciting things are to him at the moment.
Other Info: Miles is 5'1" (his parents keep telling him he's just a "late bloomer") and weighs a skinny 95 pounds. Pasty white skin, brown-red hair and freckles, Miles has never had a date in his life, nor is he likely to any time soon. Pops his knuckles when he gets nervous.
Hero Name: Delara
Hero Race: Gremlin
Hero Stats: 14 (not sure how long gremlins live for), Female, Chaotic.. Good(-ish)
Class: Rogue (Chameleon Archetype) 3/Sorcerer (Maestro Bloodline) 1
Appearance: As gremlins go, pretty feminine. Curvy hips, decent-sized chest, full lips, etc. Still mostly average build though, especially compared to a Satyri. Skin is a pale green, with Sandy hair.
Background: She's in it for the shinies and the excitement. Offer her either of those and she can be trusted to do what's needed.
Other Info: Generally will act like her player, unless Miles suddenly sees a reason to exploit her gender to distract NPCs, in which case he will be as obvious about this as you can imagine any teenage boy playing a girl character would be. This will get extremely awkward for Miles though, when he becomes "her."
