Plot Summary No Applications, No Recruitment Character Rules Level 6 Characters. Level Adjustment & Hit Dice take ACTUAL Levels. EXAMPLE: To use a goliath (+1 Level Adjustment) You can only have 5 class levels Always use MAX Hit Dice + Con Mod. No Rolling HP Everyone starts with 10,000gp worth of equipment. Anything NOT spent is LOST. Whether you spend 1gp or 10,000gp on your starting equipment, you have exactly 100gp upon entering the arenas. Only use printed Wizards of the Coast 3.5 materials, no web sources. No Templates Character Sheet MUST be submitted to the characters thread to join. You are allowed to use 2 flaws & 1 trait, though this is optional. Bloodlines are allowed, but paying off the levels is MANDATORY There will be no dealing with XP penalties Rewards & Motivation Anyone you defeat, you get 1/2 their level x 1,000 XP & 1/2 that total in gold Ammendment: Losers gain 1,000 xp flat rate & no gp EXAMPLE: Defeat a 6th level opponent & gain 3,000 XP & 1,500 GP. If the difference is more than 3 levels... Loser is 3 levels lower. Victor gains 1/2 the listed reward Loser is 4+ levels lower. Victor gains nothing. Victor is 3 levels lower, gains double rewards Victor is 4+ levels lower, gains triple rewards. WIN 10,000 gold & you may spend it to start a Gladiators Guild. Any character to win 3 matches in a row automatically get a guild FREE OR 5,000 gp bonus After your initial 3 in a row, you may win the 5,000 gp with any streak of 5 in a row. DM Laziness Public Service Announcement I'm not fixing scores anymore, everyone use this point buy system or set scores. If you already rolled scores for a character, you may CHOOSE to keep your original rolls or use this system. LET ME KNOW WHICH SET ARRAY: 8-12-14-18-20-24 POINT BUY: All scores start at 6. You have 60 points to spend, nothing can be lower than 6 or higher than 26 BEFORE racial/level adjustments If you want to add it up, these give the same totals, Set Array is easy reference, Point Buy is for more versatility Also, you do have the option to roll stats & hope for better than what's offered here. PSA Public Service Announcement In an attempt to get this running better & promote creativity & player activity, I am hereby removing the cap on character a player can have, with a few simple rules. All original rules for character creation must be adhered to Do not abuse this by creating more characters than you can run or keep up with Each character may only be in 1 PvP fight & 1 non PvP area at a time Please submit each character in the same post you already created in the characters thread, I have gone through & edited the thread trying to have each character in it's own fieldset box so they are separated. Whether you choose to separate with horizontal rulers [hr][/hr] or [fieldset=Characters Name][/fieldset] or [spoilerbutton=Character's Name][/spoilerbutton] or any other means is completely your choice. By reducing the number of pages to sift through, you increase the efficiency of DM activity Please include some form of stat block in your in game posts, you can secret it to "DM" [secret=DM][/secret] & everyone with DM privileges will be able to see it, or you can put it in a spoilerbutton, or however you feel comfortable. This will help you in game & again speed up DM productivity. If you include a link to your character sheet WITH the stat block, that would be even better. this looks very similar to Oops game that I was going to take over if Oops didn't reply in the next 4 days. So if its alright I would like to be a part of this (not only as player but as DM I would hate to become your competition and take potential players away from you). also Oops had it where money can be obtained through betting on the fights, Will you be doing this as well? and one last thing, I disagree with some of the stuff in here I personally like Oops idea of any characters 1-10 and then battle those characters with creatures of the appropriate level.
