Bombly is the only son of the famous Boomer, master blacksmith and inventor. His father's name and work was known all across the land. His contributions to the world ranged from weaponry to even ships and building. However despite the fame Boomer was a paranoid man. Always believing that spys were out to steal his work or that someone was going to attack him while he was sleeping, Bombly's father was an ever-vigilent man who passed on his paranoia to his son. Due to his fear of spy's, Bombly was rarely let outside for fear that some rogue would kidnap him to blackmail his father. As such Bombly spent most of his time at home, studying to become a blacksmith inventor like his father. He studied a little bit of everything including demolitions, physics, and many other subjects. Due to this isolation Bombly began to take after his father, becoming even more paranoid and believing that everyone and everything was evil. Over the years Bombly's father began to see the damage he had done to his son after Bombly got scared of his own shadow and proceeded to blow himself up. He sent Bombly to solve the crisis in Toad Town believing it was a good opportunity for him to use his smart and confront his fear of....everything. Tobuka held his wand in one hand, maintaining a stasis spell, and a scalpel in the other, which he was using for his dissection. In front of him was a 1 Up mushroom which had a neat cut down its front held open with pins. He made another cut to get a better look at the inner workings, avoiding a spot he had discovered last time contained one of its major magic flows. He paused for a moment, but nothing happened. Carefully, he pulled aside the now loose section to reveal the inner core of the mushroom, but as he did so he felt magic surge through it and overwhelm his stasis spell. "Gah! Curses! I almost had it that time." He cast a simple magic detection spell, but he already knew it would come back negative. "Why must these be so delicate? At least it didn't blow up this time." He sat back in his chair and looked around his room. Charts and diagrams covered the walls, his collected research into several fields of magic. Against one wall was a now empty crate labeled with a simple image of a green mushroom, and a less empty crate of red mushrooms. "I need to restock. A break wouldn't be a bad idea either. And I know just where I can do both." Last edited by Codex Sparks; Sep 30th, 2017 at 01:45 PM. |
