The DnDOG Newsletter

Dear users of Dungeons and Dragons Online Games.

Today we present to you the release of the DnDOG Newsletter. It is the work of many individuals and the product of hours of editing and looking over. This thread is for comments, suggestions, and also as a place to ask questions. Please however do not submit articles to be used in the Newsletter here. How to send in articles is covered in the contact us section of the Newsletter.

I would like to thank my staff, Medesha and Dharkan, for their hard work and also I would like to thank the whole DnDOG staff for their exceptional help and ideas as this Newsletter has come together.

This newsletter is designed for the users of this site and your opinionís matter quite a bit to us. Please let us know how to improve and what you would like to see in the future. Without readers we don't have a Newsletter so it is imperative that we have willing readers and for that reason we need to know what our readers want to read.

General information:
  • Released monthly on the 20th
  • Not accepting more staff members currently
  • Everyone is eligable to submit stories and articles and all stories and articles will be kept in an archive in case we want to use them for later issues.
  • This is not a chat thread

The first issue is now online at:
www.rpgcrossing.com/newsletter

Please read the notice on the front page at the top. Our first knowledge of general opinion will come from what is stated and we ask that you all give us your opinion.

-Thank You-
DnDOG Newsletter Editor

The newsletter is *great*, I just want to thank everyone who has been apart of the team developing it because your hard work has paid off, I just want to be the first to show my appreciation for the newsletter - it will only serve to bring this community even closer together, and every function like this continues to refine DNDOG as the best online open d20 source on the net (at least, in my eyes).

I guess alot of my appreciation is electing me as DNDOG DM of the Month, what an honor! thanks again!

I'm surprised that, even though I'm a player in Resurgance, I STILL learned something new from the KitFox interview!
Awesome work, love the page design, nice articles

Favorite part: You guessed it, the KitFox interview....you sure know how to pick a good DM of the Month!

This newsletter is awesome. Maybe make a subscription thing where whenever it is released send out an e-mail that way we don't forget.

Some updates:
  • Due dates for entering a story for a months issue is the 5th of the month to make it into that months issue. So lets say you wanted to enter an article into septembers issue 2, Your story or article must be turned in by the 5th of september. If it is turned in after that date it will be held over to the next month.
  • If you wish to get on a mailing list then please email dndogn@gmail.com with the following in the subject bar: "Subscription - USERNAME". Replace USERNAME with your user name.
  • If you like it then try and spread the news of its exsistence if you can. It apears that the number of users who read Announcments is not great. However do not post this in games. When I mean spread I am saying over instant messanger or so. Possibly OOC threads.

Thats all for now, Hope you all have enjoyed it thus far!

Hey, great job guys! The newsletter looks great - really professional, without being overly flashy. The KitFox article makes me envious of all of his players (and KitFox himself, for crafting such a beatiful world). It's also nice to see the Steering the Craft articles in there, as well.

News Letter is a great idea and looks great too.

Nice campaign KitFox. Looks like a lot of fun with some good players as well.

As a general note:

ANYONE AND EVERYONE IS ELIGIBLE TO WRITE A ARTICLE OR STORY!

However we ask that it pertains to DnD, If it doesn't seem to fit then we will make it fit, Let's get some storys from the crowds here! The only things we ask you don't write about are specific games and DM's as we are not allowing that for members yet. Aside from that we need you!
