So.... do we want to try playing KT over PbP? If they can play chess over the phone, I'm sure something here can be figured out.

It's definitely something that's an option - especially with Arena providing more 2D map options!

Right now, I don't have the time to devote to setting it up, but give me a couple of months, and I might have something firm to base things off.

QuestionSo, ah, totally hypothetically, but if you were to have a few days in England, say between Manchester and Heathrow, what things would you definitely want to see / do / visit?

(also, would hiring a car be more sensible than trying to catch trains everywhere?)

Have a local beer. Try to get a palace guard to react.

My dad went to England a while back with a coworker/friend who was from India (I think, his wife knew how to cook Indian food but I don't remember any details). His friend told him that the best Indian food in the world was in England. Be sure to try some Tikka Masala and Saag Paneer, those are some of my favorites.

Nice - I wonder if that's a general "Indian food in England is good", or if there are particular shops that are real good for Indian food?

English bloke here. Indian food is definitely not the same as the food you would find in India. Many of the curry dishes here are native recipes, especially vindaloo (very hot, I can't stress this strongly enough).
The beer is stronger over here, try some of the Guest Ales if you visit the pub.
Also, NEVER provoke the Royal Guard! They are all hard as nails frontline troops drafted from all over the British military, and the myth about them not being allowed to move is total bollocks!

cheers

Yeah, provoking the guard is not something I'd be interested in doing, even if they weren't allowed to move!

I did manage to try a variety of the ales, and enjoyed them. I enjoyed the "flat, warm" beer far more than the "flat, warm" cider - the cold, fizzy cider was definitely more refreshing.

Very.

It’s refreshingly different from the Disney movies. It pays homage not only to Star Wars but spaghetti westerns, classic samurai movies and space operas with a splash of gangster/crime thrown in.

I feel as though it may well make my top 5 sci-fi TV shows of all times, along with Firefly, Stargate... which have a similar blend of drama, action with lighter comical undertones at times.

I would say even the weaker episodes would score 6/10. The better ones I watched multiple times whilst waiting on the next.

As a casual Star Wars fan i even found myself watching YouTube videos explaining the deeper significance of characters, Easter eggs and events.

Well worth a watch even if you’re not a huge SW fan or even just a casual sci-fi fan.

Thanks for the review, Zinrokh! It's good feedback to keep hearing. One of these days, when we can make our archaic technology and Disney+ speak to each other, we'll be able to get around to watching it for ourselves

I'll be watching..
I wasn't a fan of the 2nd season as much as the fist, but I'm still looking forward to season 3.

I thought the 2nd season was good, but didn't match up to season 1. But then I watched them both again last week, and have to say, I enjoyed the 2nd season more than I did the first watch-through. S1 is still my favourite, though
