Oh! That's what I was sure Jimmy was insinuating and readying Boanagh for in this post. So would it be better to not have Loch pick up on Jimmy being slightly more harried since last they'd met? Loch is aware that Jimmy is a bit foreign to the different cultures that he is dealing with here, but I had assumed Loch might be able to tell that Jimmy is having such a strong reaction, partially because Jimmy is still affected by the two very violent encounters during his overland journey and after having had his falling out with Kosev.

It's all good. I think Jimmy probably has changed a little bit, at least temporarily. If nothing else, it's strange for him to be in a leadership position, and now responsible for so many. I don't remember exactly, but I think I may have started Jimmy's response, then only thought about the possibility of her illness later. Jimmy went through the same process, I guess.

No worries, I know that I stalled for much longer. I think one of the benefits of solo games is the ability to be more liberal with posting because the game posts are always traded and there's no holdup for others. Mostly I was only asking to stay in the loop and in case there were questions. I know my last post covered a bit of ground there.

Could you please add an Investigation or Perception check for Jimmy to your last post? Darce is going to take a brusque exit, so for Boanagh we'll have to go with passive scores, but Jimmy has the opportunity to make his own evaluation of the elder's gear before Darce leaves.

You don't need to edit anything else about your post, it should all check out as narrated.

I just took a look at the roll. Will Jimmy overtly call for divine guidance to inspect Darce as they are pretty much standing next to each other? I would have allowed Jimmy to be subtle when Darce's attention was on Boanagh, but if Jimmy is going to draw attention Darce will take notice of how intently and purposefully Jimmy is checking him out.

Hm. (I'm not checking the d4 roll so as not to corrupt my decision.) I don't care about irritating him, and I don't think it will matter much if he knows Jimmy's suspicious, so Jimmy will be obvious if necessary. After all, it would be strange if he even guessed why Jimmy's looking.

That's good with me. I was mostly meaning to clarify that even if the narration of Guidance is left out, it's still something that affects the narrative. Whatever behaviour Darce perceives from Jimmy, unless he has some mindreading abilities he won't be able to simply know Jimmy's intentions. For better or worse.

Crap. I was just about to write the next update, but I forgot a very important piece of clarification. For the sake of fairness, I've realized that I've been narratively glancing over the fact that Jimmy's invisible imp has been regularly noticed by the darklings because all of them have in fact blindsight. I had decided that there wouldn't be any encounters arising from it because Jimmy is with Boanagh and allied to the darklings, however Jimmy should have been reminded multiple times that Tink is not invisible to the dubh sidhe unless he takes quite the distance. At the least during the meeting with all the darkling elders, Jimmy would have seen visible reactions that they were all cognizant of a flying creature in the room, however it wasn't important at the time so I failed to highlight it. For the sake of shadowing Darce though, I think Jimmy would be aware that it's not as trivial as it seems. The first time Tink could easily follow Darce with enough distance to remain undiscovered while in open space. Now that Tink is supposed to shadow Darce within one of the border outposts, I think it would be fair of me to allow for more specific instructions according to the knowledge that Jimmy would have been aware of. Would you like to make any changes to your post in accordance with this?
