Congratulations on a smooth (or at least survived!) procedure, Acathala. It's good you survived. (We had a second string cleric ready to cast reincarnation, but that's not quite the same thing as raising the dead. Who knows what might have resulted!) Best wishes for a rapid recovery.

I’m glad but I don’t think the NHS would have covered the cost of a cleric. Budget cuts whatnot.
In saying that, that reincarnation could have proved useful. I needed to do work on my flat, some Gnome improvement, because no matter where you might roam, there’s no place like Gnome. Of course Gnome is where the heart is.

Not really a return, so much as a drive-by wave of greeting. More of a golf wave than a princess wave though. I do wish I had the willpower to jump back in, but I have no doubt that I'd get sucked in and miss my personal deadlines for writing this year LOL. In the interim I've just release the ninth novel in my Valhalla AWOL books and started a new series called Spells and Spycraft. But...I do envy all you eager and happy gamers your entertainment and RPG dreams.

SP&SP 101 will be the first of a trilogy (or more) of young adult/academy novels set in the same world as the Valhalla AWOL books. A few minor characters cross over but it doesn't have the heavily norse them of the Magnus books.

Sadly it’s been two weeks since Girlplay has been onsite. Whilst I’m still holding out hope she’s busy, it’s not a good sign. If anyone has any information, that would be great. Hoping that she’s well.

I'm back. Sort of. But not really. I'm about to head off for a couple of weeks of revenge travel with my wife, so we'll see if we can pull it off and make it home safely.

I still haven't figured out my "new equilibrium" yet, now that I've got a designation and presumably (if the HR system ever gets updated) an official conversion from "acting" to "ongoing" of my current role. For the time being though, I'm only probably going to drop in sporadically, until I figure out what my new equilibrium looks like.

Great to see that ridin is back though. Always a blast seeing him being active on here.

I am going to be stepping away from the site for a while. The summer has been quite rough on me this year. Mental issues, job issues, drama, surprise pregnancy, the whole deal and more.

This has left my mind an utter husk for creativity. I have sat down countless time to write, to pull from the well I had drawn from countless times before only to find a meager supply remaining. It's been... odd. I do not know when I'll return and I have learned from experience if I offer a ETA I always end up missing it and then some. So, I'll leave it to the fates to decide.

So long, thanks for the tales. I wish you good rolls and wonderful memories!
