Curtains of water fall from the sky as you traverse the labyrinthine walkways of Sharn. The stone and wooden paths wind around and between the towers and spires high above the ground , forming a complex latticework that can be very confusing on evening such as this. The rain falls hard, running off higher walkways and balconies in drenching waves, making it difficult to see much more than a few feet in front of you. The distant glow of everbright lanterns, barely visible in the soaking gloom, does little to light the paths on this warm, wet evening.
You may place your characters on the map anywhere on the Western Bridge, south of row 15 using the first letter of their name, as well as any actions they take.

"...and another thing! Did you know that the rate of mating between threehorns has dropped... um... wait, what in the Storm is that?" The halfling squinted through the rain, pointing towards the bridge ahead, attempting to bring attention to something he spotted there.

The overly chatty halfling's sudden break in conversation causes Savrin's soldier-honed instincts to take over his body. He immediately snaps to attention, peering through the mid-air waterfalls in the direction of Nal's gesture. In the same movement his bow is in his hands, an arrow immediately nocked and ready to fire. No harm in taking caution in a place like Sharn, pit of villainy and scum that it could be. "See what, little one? What did you see?" He asks, his voice a low growl.

"I'm... not really sure. Someone was skulking about on the bridge, but I can't see him now. I think... there's something on the bridge? I can't make it out."

Breaker keeps his blade before him and moves ahead to the edge of the bridge, calling out, "Who is there!"

As Breaker moves closer to the bridge, he realizes that the object lying on it is a body.
Even more disturbingly, he realizes he knows who the body belonged to: Bonal Geldem the Provost of Morgrave University.

Savrin follows Breaker towards the bridge, keeping just a scant few paces behind the warforged. Upon sighting the dead body, he curses under his breath, eyes flicking left and right, ears straining against the endless downpour of rain. "Gods be with him to the next," he says quietly, touching his hand to his chest. But the mourning would have to come later.
Savrin bounds around the area, looking for any sign of the assailant who killed the poor Provost, or any sign of his presence he may have left behind. But sight alone would not be enough, the rain would wash away any tracks. So Savrin reaches deep inside himself to the hidden reservoir of power innate to all shifters... and in a moment the world seems to explode into vibrant detail, the scent of everything around him like a colour-code of extra information. The city was alive with colour that only he could see, much of it mismatching and disgusting. He sniffs the air above the Provost, trying to block out the scent of his blood, instead seeking out the hint of anything else... anything foreign.

Darius moves as well, keeping himself to Breaker's left as he unsheathes his own blade, tossing the oddly-patterned scimitar to his left hand and taking out a short throwing spear for his right. "Stand clear and the let the tracker try his skill," the fighter says, wary that the Professor may have had a nearby assailant.

"If I tried to help him, I'm pretty sure I'd just make him more dead." Despite the assertion, the halfling moved forward to examine the body quickly for apparent injuries.

The cause of death is immediately obvious. A deep wound, either from an ax or a sword, through the clavicle and towards the sternum. At least one lung has been cleaved in two. There is no chance of helping him now.
Savrin immediately picks up another scent, like wood, stone and steel. Another Warforged, like Breaker, but decidedly less friendly it would seem. Fortunately, this puts on guard when a wild blow from a war ax swings at him not from the bridges surface, but from the bridges side. The murderous cloaked Warforged remains and is readying another attack! Roll for initiative and post your first round actions.

With the reaction of an experienced solider, Breaker moves towards the warforged without word or argument, swinging his sword at it with all his might.

The two Warforged spin into action almost simultaneously, with your aggressor slightly the quicker. Crying, "Die, flesh-traitor!" she spins, raising her axe above her head and coming down with a vicious one handed blow, identical to the one that felled Bonal. It may have worked, had she not been facing a warrior who's body was laced with Adamantium. As it is, the axe certainly does not tickle, but it is not dangerous. Breaker returns the favour with a great swing of his sword that cleaves the attacker's head from her body. As her body collapses with nothing controlling, something unfolds from the middle of her chest and buzzes away into the night.
For a minute, the only sound is the rain, but that is quickly shattered as you realize that the residents of the surrounding towers are calling for help. Help that is quickly confirmed by the shrill blowing whistle of the Watch. Breaker takes 3 damage after DR. You have two rounds to act before the Watch reaches you.
