Missed that
 . I did take a look at the battle map, and saw a line across the doorway that looked like a closed door but, on closer examination, looks exactly like all the other gridlines on the map  .OK, so if the doors are open, what can we see on the inside? I'm damn sure that hasn't been described yet.

Well, besides that. Knowing that we're not being bum rushed by the enemy is useful, but hardly enough to base some sort of plan on. Is there just (apparently) empty room beyond the doorway? Are there really tiles on the floor that conveniently are 5' by 5'?
EDIT: Also, could an enlarged person fight within the next room? I do have one spell left today, even if it's one that I've come to dislike since choosing domains and spells.

The room beyond is very long. With just a cursory glance, you can see a few paintings on the wall in the room, but you definitely do not have the time for a more careful glance. Other than that, the floor is simple wooden boards, and the walls are lined with stained wallpaper. There really isn't anything else you can tell without a more thorough look, which you don't have time for at the moment.
And there is more than enough room for an enlarged person, except the doorway, which you would need an escape artist check to get through. Once you're in the room, you'll be fine.
