Outside of removing from your list Back to the Future II & III as well as Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom because they are terrible, here are a few more recommendations. * The Untouchables * Highlander (this movie won an award). * Willow * War Games * Escape from New York |

Those movies being bad aren’t really an opinion — it is a subjective and debatable fact.

The Duke just wasn't ready for Snake. I am sure if they just sat down over a coffee they could've worked things out.
I am still reeling over your subjective and debateable fact... BttF part III had its shortcomings and was the worst of the trilogy. But Part II??? I remain gobsmacked!

I will budge on BTTF2, if you agree #3 and Temple of Doom are just plain bad.
You can add Running Man, Bloodsport and Heartbreak Ridge to your list. Heartbreak Ridge is a personal favorite of mine, because I improvise, adapt and overcome. Last edited by Squeak; Jan 15th, 2025 at 12:03 AM. |

Try “Cross of Iron”. It has many great actors in it, and one of the best war/anti-war movies ever made. If you can get a hold of it “Angel of Night”, also known as “Nattens Engel” is one of my favourite vampire movies ever. I actually met the director, the wonderfully named Shaky Gonzales, at a horror festival. Nice chap, though his career kinda plummeted.
Whilst not strictly movies, all of the Rik Mayall Presents anthology, is on YouTube. I think it’s his best work, and I miss him terribly.

If you’re willing to get a bit older you should add, Kelly’s Heroes, The Guns of Navarone, The Dirty Dozen, The Magnificent Seven (old version), Seven Samurai (if you can find it), The Longest Day, A Bridge Too Far, and Big.

A Bridge Too Far! Excellent film.
Not quite as old, but reminded me of Escape to Victory! Love that film. I mean, it has Pele in it for christ sake! "You give me ball. I do this. This. This. This. And...Goal!"

Acathala, Cross of Iron is such a good film. Add All Quiet on the Western Front to that.

Tried to watch boneyard. First mel Gibson movie I've watched that put me to sleep when I wasn't tired.
Watched the rig. For a syfy tv made movie it was good. Herd of only 1 movie I want to see but can't. That's Godzilla minus 1 in color in English. Seems you need to be rich to watch it. List as a netfilx thing. First you have to have internet( not phone data) that's over 4k$ a year in my town. Then pay for Netflix 650$ a year then 19.99 for 1 time viewing. Sorry my avg yearly income is 4k max. That's bills food everything. So not ever going to happen.
