Oleg's Trading Post
As a heads up, I'm going to use maps and tokens to represent combat. If you have a character portrait that you would like to use to represent your character I can use that. The other option is I can use a couple of placeholder tokens which could represent your character or use initials to represent your character in combat. Let me know what you would like. |

Thanks, looking forward to this. Really eager to help create a new kingdom.
As far as tokens go, something like this would be nice if you can make it work: Perhaps two, one larger to show him mounted and a smaller headshot for use when not?

Welcomes all around. I'll look forward to meeting everyone soon.
And, I'll be happy to create a few map tokens. What sizes to you want? Incidentally, since I may have overlooked it, which XP advancement rate are you going to be using: Fast, medium, or slow? |

Well he's got a guitar instead of a violin, but he fits the rest of my character idea really well, so we'll use him! Are you doing the same as I am for my campaign Rohor, a mix of TokenTool and MapTool? EDIT: Rohor, any issues with me taking the Rich Parents trait (900gp starting cash)? Fits the noble background, and would let me get a nice longbow to match the storyline. EDIT 2: I found an even better picture!

I'm afraid that I don't have a picture of the Halfbeard, and finding one will most likely be impossible given his most distinctive characteristic. That said, I'm more than happy with any sort of token. Perhaps this one:
On a different note, does anyone have strong feelings about narrative tense? I'm perfectly happy in either past or present, but it throws me off a bit when different players are using different tenses.

Hi everybody, finally managed to get some time to myself and answer some questions

The XP advancement rate will be medium, with encounters adjusted to account for the fact that we have six players instead of four. The idea is that at each point in the game, you would receive the same (or close to) the same amount of xp and gold that you would if the group was a four person party. Quote:

Your family's history of trading along the shores of Lake Reykal pervades your blood. As a deft merchant of the region, you gain a bonus language: Dwarven, Elven, Hallit, Gnome, Giant, Halfling, Skald, or Sylvan. Your family motto is "Success through Grace." Just an update as to where we are at this stage with beginning the adventure, the story will be beginning with all of you arriving outside Oleg's Trading post, whether individually or with another member of the party - that I will leave up to you (first post, first arrival is the plan). You could've met each other when you each went to sign up for the charter or perhaps you travelled with a caravan to Oleg's Trading Post, or you might've arrived by yourself. However, the first post should be your arrival to the trading post. The story assumes that you take up the charter in Restov and then travel to the trading post although from memory Arguilios your character Rogan Fletcher is searching for the adventurers that signed up for this charter. I don't believe anyone else has a character background where their character is not signing up for the charter. If I have backgrounds mixed up (i.e. you aren't taking the charter or you are taking the charter Arguilios) I apologise. Please inform me as soon as possible - I'll work your way into the story. Starting date - The plan is that I'll have something up within the several days (originally November 12, which might be November 11 for some others as I am in Australia). That is still the plan. Also letting you know in advance - It is not 100% confirmed but possible that I'll be away for a day or two this weekend with some friends playing Pathfinder Society and am unlikely to be able to access the Internet at that time for posting. I'll also be going overseas sometime during late December / January (will confirm the dates asap) for a couple of weeks overseas without (if any, very little) internet access. It is going to be a bit of a slow start but I'm hoping after the holidays that the game will really pick up. |

Hey All, Sheet is up. Can't wait to start playing. Wanted to play Pathfinder for some time now, but no one at my shop is running a game on a day where I don't work, so I've been waiting to find a game that caught my interest.
Quick Intro: I'm Kyle, I work at Best Buy, I tend to worry easily, if I don't post every day, something pressing has come up and I will manage to find a way to post the next, almost no matter what. (Minus serious injury or familial issues. )Ah....I've never really played Pathfinder, but I have played 3.5 and D20 Modern, so I at least have a semblance of a handle on the system. I've been told it's essentially 3.75. Aaaanyways, I'm not a Grammar Nazi, but I do try and do my best to remain somewhat literate, but you'll see many glaring mistakes in many of my posts. I'll try to correct them all as I see them, but if it's anything painfully obvious and it's not edited, please feel free to point it out to me. I don't bite, I generally like to keep things civil. We have to play a game that could potentially go on for a VERY long time. Don't want any grudges. And.......I suppose that's it, aside from that I'll do my best to roleplay, so if we happen upon some Tiger-Lords, and I go charging in trying to kill them, don't blame me, blame my character. I also work at a comic book shop, so if anyone wants to geek out with me, feel free to send me a message for a facebook add or something. I don't think anyone here will try and hunt me down and skin me to use as a throw rug. A rather fat and padded throw-rug might I add. Anyways, thanks, and as you can I tell, I tend to ramble. So I'll stop. Abruptly. Here. Hi again.

Is there any difference between the two charters... why would it be assume we were all signed up for the one?

Each of the four Chartered adventuring groups were assigned a specific section of the Stolen Lands to explore and conquer. Our group was assigned the Greenbelt. The Kingmaker Players guide has more info there, if you go to Paizo and create an account you can download it for free.

If anyone's background accomodates it, I could be a 'prisoner' or someone you have to watch out for due to my situation, then feel free to PM me, we can work something out.

I'm open to beginning the adventure from any angle you tell me to. Rogan was intent on finding where the reported adventurers were mustering and joining them. Though he's not particularly interested in founding a kingdom of his own in any case, he'll sign onto the bona fide charter if that's what's required to join the group. Not being the most trusting soul, he'd want to meet them at Oleg's Trading Post -- just to assure himself that the armed men he's joining are the adventurers rather than bandits in the woods merely pretending to be the chartered adventurers. |

Given the nature of PbP beginnings, may I suggest that accepted members of the group had signed the Charter in Restov and then been told to meet at Oleg's by a certain date. That would allow basic knowledge of who had signed the charter, while allowing for the necessary time to get to know each other through the game.

I'm happy with whatever, meeting beforehand does make sense though. Just so you get an idea what Satinder is capable of (Bard), he's a good archer, has some controlling level 1 spells and the normal at will cantrips, not so good at diplomacy just yet (he still can't get his head around talking with bandits and the scruffier type of people), but when Versatile Performance kicks in at level 2 he'll be a Diplomacy and Sense Motive machine! Oh, and random knowledge checks
![]() Question for Rohor and the party: Do we need to buy rations/waterskins now, and can someone carry mine, pretty please? ![]() Sheet is done, bar the rations question. EDIT: Check the forum sig...have to go away for 2 weeks, came up really suddenly but not a job I can miss out on. Sorry guys, I wouldn't have applied for any games until after it if I had known it was coming up. Rohor, no hard feelings if you wish to remove my character from the game, 2 weeks seems like it's a long time to be missing in PbP.
