Re LupusRegalis: The odds of getting the dwarf on a horse are basically nil (particularly since he can't afford one). If we're traveling on terrain where it would be realistic, though, he can afford a cart. That would speed up the travel rate considerably (although I admit I'm not sure exactly how much).

I may be able to afford a horse, though my guy doesn't particularly like the 'beasts' but he can deal with it if it speeds things along.

A cart is a good idea Vaer, and one of the other mounted characters could pull it if you can't afford a pony or mule.
If Rohor's going to do a prologue where we meet to sign the charter and head to Oleg's together, that'd be a good time to buy it. Otherwise I'd wait until everyone meets up at Oleg's to buy it, unless you can afford the animal to pull it as well.

Alright, got the first thread up! Apologies if you were expecting the post. I was expecting to finish it yesterday evening although a Friday night out drinking with a few friends interrupted that plan. Note to self, do not leave Friday as a deadline in the future...

It's still Friday over here, so I think you're in good shape!

Hi guys, haven't had a good chance to post today - was out with a few friends and we played a Pathfinder Society game.
I just received confirmation of the dates that I'll be away overseas. I'll be flying overseas on the 24th of December, and returning home on the 10th of January 2011. It is very unlikely that I would be able to post between dates slightly earlier and later then these dates (packing and recovering after the trip). I'll post a reminder and edit my signature as we get closer to the date. Thanks. |

moggthegob? arguilios?
[edit] Re Rohor: Will you be able to post in the interior of your time overseas? Also, you've reminded me to book my own tickets. I shudder to think of what this is going to do to my savings.

Personally, I'm waiting for the family to drift off in sleep before I can comment. I anticipate this will occur in around 8 hours. Done. Last edited by arguilios; Nov 15th, 2010 at 01:20 AM. |

![]() EDIT: I've started to go through the character sheets. I don't expect that we'll need everything on there yet but my aim is to get comments out to everyone via PM by the following day regarding character sheets and possible adjustments. Watch out for a PM in your inbox over the next day or so. Last edited by Rohor; Nov 15th, 2010 at 07:45 AM. Reason: Additional note re character sheets. |

If it's easier than PMs, you could always drop a post with some secret text for each of us.

I did originally think of using something like secret messages or just outright posting the message on the board, but for me it is easier if I PM each of you, that way the message won't be lost in the swarm of messages
![]() Edit: Just a quick update, I'm giving a bit more time for people to post up a message to ask the mayor any questions should they require any. If nobody has any additional questions / postings after some time I'll move it forward. Last edited by Rohor; Nov 18th, 2010 at 06:19 AM. Reason: Updating re moving story forward |

It does seem like we're out of questions...
Just a quick OOC note, since I assume the travel south will happen off-screen, Brune is a terrible cart-driver. He knows what to look for when buying one, but he has no actual training. With his below-average charisma, he can't even take 10 to pass the checks required to get the donkey and cart rolling smoothly down the road. All that said, it's not like he's going to ask for help. If you think your character would have offered assistance unasked, say so (here, presumably) and we'll just assume that the reins were handed over without fuss. Otherwise, I'm perfectly happy to watch the hilarity ensue with Brune handling the cart.
