Welcome back Finder, so how was bandicoot hunting? I can't help but picture some faceless man tracking down Crash Bandicoot on foot. Forgive me, I was part of that odd SNES/PS1 era. (20 yrs. Old), so I have a pretty odd imagination. Also, I'll include Harken's plans on the ground level in my next post.

Thankyou for giving me a way out of wearing women's clothing Rohor .

Ryoga, we managed to catch, tag and sample 15 individuals, plus 3 semi-independant babies (the mum took them with her foraging, instead of leaving them in the nest) and got to go "AWW" at a bunch of jellybeans (babies in the pouch who are little more than pink blobs). I'm absolutely covered in mosquito bites and all my stuff smells like peanut butter, but hey, that's all part of the job .

Curses! My plot unravels with the untimely appearance of the real effeminate song-n-dance man.

So, what job is it exactly that allows you to do that? It sounds pretty interesting. I've been thinking of becoming a Herpologist, though I don't even know where to start with that stuff. That, and my friends/parents would laugh their asses off about it if I even mentioned it. Currently on course to become a cop. It's the only thing I think I can do and be relatively happy and secure doing.
That and I myself think that there are very few careers in Ecology/Herping, as well as my Math skills, which seem to be required, leave much to be desired.

I've got majors in Ecology and Wildlife, just need a couple more subjects to finish my Bachelor of Science (I messed around in first year, a mix of playing WoW and doing Chemistry classes I couldn't handle). I'm hoping to end up as a survey worker for an environmental consulting company, or something similar. Of course if there's a position at CSIRO doing research work, I'm in on that too!

Herpetology is an excellent field, even if the name sounds rather bad to the un-educated. Amphibians are awesome! Generally the idea is to take all the main ecological courses, then specialise in your final year, or honours or PhD. The last two are what really count what you're good at anyway.

Ah, so a quick question, how intense are the Chemistry classes required? I'm no slouch at science, but it's never really been a specialty of mine, I've always been more of a literature and history type. I can retain dates , information and write some fairly decent essays. It's mostly due to my fairly unorganized nature, I had to adapt.

Honestly depends on the person. I got 17/20 in my high school chemistry in final year, then failed completely at uni, the level of work was just so different...and didn't engage me. Uni is hard unless you like the subject, I suggest spending your first year shopping around and then pursue whatever interests you the most...it will be your career afterall.

It also depends on the school and the professors. I strongly advise avoiding large research institutions for your undergraduate studies if you can manage it. If the professors are selected (at least in part) for teaching ability rather than research power, you will find that your classes are both easier and more rewarding. (Full disclosure: I went to a liberal arts college with no graduate program whatsoever.)

From what I remember, organic chemistry will probably be the hardest course you take in undergrad if you go for ecology/herpetology. My memory is second-hand though, and may be specific to the college I attended.

I can take over the sorcerer for the time being if you like.

Also I think the plan was for any archers to be on the ramparts. The light coloured wood tiles running along the inside edge of the walls. This lets us still have good vision of the fight, but not be in the way of melee combatants.

I'd suggest Alistair and Rogan up there for sure, perhaps on either side of the gate (crouched or lying down to hide behind the palisade). Harken and Kostas on the ground ready to slam the gate shut then charge into melee, with Brune nearby too. Meanwhile Satinder can go anywhere, but preferrably where he can be nearest the most people and have some sight for his spells and bow. Oh, and if we see like two dozen bandits rock up, slam shut the gates before they reach us and shoot arrows at them and fling spells till they go away.

Harken can stick with him, but I'm telling you now, if Satinder ends up looking really weak, all respect for him will be gone until he does something great.
And Harken will most definitely take on that Boar, not even for the gold of bow, just for the sake that it's a boar.

I would expect nothing less to come from a character such as yours!

I would rather have Satinder up on the palisade with the other Ranged combatants. You'll be more effective and better defended up there. That also lets the melee combatants concentrate on their part.

EDIT: Nevermind, I see we've started already.

Yeah, and Harken is basically keeping and eye on him as he dives into their ranks.
Also, I assume you basically told Harken to close the gates, I think if we do now, we'll shut two out, just making sure that's what will actually happen if I try and close the doors now.
