But seriously, I like getting paid for gaming. Sadly I post from home more often that not lately. Last edited by PIG; Feb 5th, 2013 at 04:22 AM. |

Being salaried has its benefits, but those of us that work off of 'commission' (get a certain amount of work done to get paid) have to just carefully plan it.

looks good thanks! Hopefully Frostburn and Alexader can post tonight and we can be off and running in round 4, where the ghoul meets his end, unless you all have some crap rolls.

Well now we've both got flanking bonus, lets just hope the rolls keeping working in his favor defensive wise.

@Alexader, It is pretty funny to me that you should mention that because I have friend who is always saying "I got you, cat" or "no worries, cat, we got this". So now every time I hear it, I am going to think about your last name. I guess that is true about the mage armor and the dex bonus to AC, I was just looking at your AC until I was typing it up and remembered you had Mage Armor casts. You used to have info at the bottom about your spells and items and stats.
Unfortunately because the torbles have to move into your square to attack, the ghoul gets an AoO against them, but it doesn't have combat reflexes so only one gets attacked. He scored a nat 20 with full damage, thus destroying one Torble. Hopefully you all can finish the ghoul off before any more damage is incurred. |

Don't you only get AoO's for moving out of a threatened square, not into?

yea, but the torbles have to move into the square five feet in front of the ghoul which is threatened, and then into the square that the ghoul is in, so they are moving out of a threatened square to get the first attack. I realized after my last time of having them fight you guys that it should be this way, so long as they are not surprising you. Sorry I did wrong a couple of times, but I am learning. The torbles have a reach of zero with their bite attack because they are diminutive and have no neck or anything to stick out and bite something 5 feet away, thus they provoke an AoO. Thanks for trying to keep me straight though, I need it, especially now as things are getting busier for me at work.

Man, I thought I was going to be stuck on that "moving to" scree forever. Funny how nothing's really changed, place still looks the same.

@rogue I was just trying to keep myself straight. I forgot taht they had 0 reach, and therefor had to leave the 'threatened' square to the 'occupied' square. Makes sense.

I don't think that makes him flat-footed does it?
http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/c...html#_flanking There's no mention of flat-footed in the description of Flanking.

Right, my b I thought rogues could sneak attack when flanking because the target was flatfooted as they can sneak attack anytime the target would be denied his dex bonus to ac, hence flat footed but now I see it is also when flanking whether or not the target has dex bonus.
My origional argument stands though, the ghoul is surrounded by enemies and in no way watching down at his feet. Therefor would be surprised by the tiny creatures moving through rrashmirs square to get to them. I would also point out that unless the creature is bending over at the waste his arms are not long enough to use his claws to attack the torble. He would have to kick them, at which point rrashmir and gwen would both get an attack of opportunity. If he is bending down at the waist when he stands back up, Rrashmir is cutting his head off. One cannot drop 1 item, draw 1 item, move 30 ft then still attack right?
That'd be 2 move actions and a standard?
