I don't know how you're figuring that. There are 4 goblins adjacent to me. Each of them gets one opportunity action per turn, which means that each of them can make an attack against me. The two goblins who are currently flanking me get +2 to their attacks. The second movement (from the spot 1 north of me to the spot 2 north of me) doesn't draw any additional attacks.

Still, four attacks, including 2 that get a flanking bonus, is more than I should probably take. I'm editing my post to use an action point, shifting 1 back before making the long move. That cuts the number of attacks in half and removes the flanking bonus from the ones that are taken.

Err yeah, I had forgotten that it's one OA per turn. I was thinking the top two would get additional OAs. The +6 vs AC is just their basic attack, though, so the flanking bonus, which I hadn't included in my figuring, would have made it even worse.

Hey Deathless, don't forget that as a fighter you can mark your enemies, and as a dwarf you can use your 2nd wind as a minor action (and you can use standard, move and minor actions all in the same turn, of course).

Hmm, I knew about the second wind, but I am not in dire need of it. I have, what, 15 healing surges a day @ 8hp each.

As for marking an enemy, I totally forgot. Maybe next round :P

Dire need, no, but at 10 HP down you wouldn't be wasting it, and it raises all your defenses by 2 for one round.

Whoops! Just realized I forgot to include my defenses in my last post. Doh! They wouldn't have changed from my previous post, except that after my turn the goblin to the left is marked. I'll try to make sure I don't forget again, though.

Just a note. I have lost reliable internet access until approximately Tuesday, when school starts. I just moved back to school so my personal computing will be restricted to the campus until further notice (read - when I get my stuff out of storage ). If my turn should happen to come up again before Tuesday (it's a wonder it only did just yesterday!), just assume I go bonkers trying to blow up goblins while staying out of melee range.

Hey It was classical spell check error. When i glanced at the word it seemed right. To be honest I thought interdimentiontional was a weird word to be in the firefox dictionary but then again I figured the spell checker was in there for things like this so it must have some weird words in it.

Next one will be - everyone post their actions and I will sort them out at the end of the round in order. Include 'IF's in either a SPOILERBUTTON or SECRET.

It may or may not be a bit though - I'm not running a hack'n'slash here.

I have a question for you, jj. I've been having a little discussion with a couple of players over in djr's game about close blast. The PHB shows a couple of examples based on either a side or corner origin square, with the blast then spreading equally right and left. Here, for example, though, someone used a side square as the origin square but then had it spread all to one side. What's your thoughts on that?
