Sorry for the delays, guys. I'll try today to catch up with where I'd intended to be by this point. For some reason, I wasn't terribly productive yesterday, and have a few things to tackle today.

@Ogamodyna: the oldest gamer I've encountered online would be in his later 60s now; he'd apparently come across someone a full decade older than himself. Still, I frequently feel rather over the hill myself. I recently discovered I was RPing with someone who'd just celebrated his 16th birthday....

Traits list updated again.

We have three(!) Brigands, one Pioneer, and one Sword Scion.

Two players were happy to forego Drawbacks.

It looks like the closest we have to a native of Brevoy might be Reggie - though I'm not sure where Ulnar's background is set; he might well be a born and bred subject of the kingdom.

Remarkably for a Kingmaker group, we don't have a hint of elven blood, nor any members of the major noble houses.

All in all, a somewhat unusual party.

Started playing DnD when the books first came out of the original pamphlet form in the very early 80s while in High School. I have friends in my tabletop group in their 60s as well. If you really get into to RPG's there's very little chance of turning back lol. Hope you didn't mind the character "flavor" of the chariot. Had a nice celtic feel to it and something Thjorn would have picked up on the first time he saw one. Went with mules because I couldn't afford horses lol. Of course that also just gives the exotic transport even more color hehe.

I was a little startled by the mule-drawn chariot, I admit. Just make sure never to try using it in combat. I rather doubt that the mules would appreciate that.

Nearly 20 years ago, I met a couple of people who were established members of their local wargames club when Tactical and Strategic Rules brought out this odd little game that they thought they'd give a go. They'd been roleplaying ever since, too....

Mules are better than horse in a few ways particularly in that you don't have to force them to go into dungeons, they are so placid they will just saunter on in.

Right... the game is finally underway, even if you're not yet anywhere filled with opportunities to earn XP.

If people just want to gloss over this bit, and skip to where the adventures begin then we can do so - but I thought that this might provide an opportunity for at least a little bit of RP.

Just in case it's not clear: yes, you've spoken to one or more officials previously to express your interest - this interview is when you actually get offered the job.

We're still trying to renovate our place, between assorted RL crises and commitments, with a view to selling and moving from the middle of nowhere to somewhere more closely resembling civilisation.

Makes me glad that we've only got to deal with a door that's been installed upside-down, so that the bottom is too wide and the top is too narrow and it doesn't close. Yes, the frame's wonky as well.

The house is only 2 years old!
