Do you have more ideas about either the place or the community?

If yes, don't hold back.
Or, should I start brainstorming and throw the ideas to you to sort them?

Sorry for the long delay

A little religious group of peaceful people, living in a larger village or smaller town near Regina, setting strict codes of behavior, but encouraging young ones to go out and see the world at 18, then either return or stay away. (There is a group who does this, but I can't remember their name).

There is a little stream flowing through town, running past next to the Church, which is kept absolutely clean. A superstition about it says you'd better not blemish it, or the wrath of the angels will be upon you and your family.

The mining site in 2 kms has been closed off 20 years ago, but kids regularly go there and dare each other to go in. No-one got lost there, or the adults would do something about it.

The main income is wheat, grown around the settlement in family patches, but these are quite complicated affairs because of some inbreeding and newcomers buying parts. There has never been a physical fight because of this, but some grumpy mumbling and sharp looks are common.

The coach going through is scheduled for one turn in the morning, and one turn in the evening, for schoolchildren and commuting adults.
