Ashley dismounts and It’s 13 HP ash, covered in the OOC thread. takes just minor damage from the acid breath as she cast’s her own spell. Conner cast a spell of his own before flying above and past the dragon to the far end of the room and out of Ashley’s sight.
The Dragon seems to ignore Conner and his mount, and focuses his energy on the Cleric. With its strong jaw and front legs it strikes at Ashley fiercely. The bite and both claws penetrate her armor and 27 HP injure the woman Cleric. Luke moves out and cast a spell at the dragon, hoping to lessen its defenses and the Blur spell falls away.

The priestess' cries are soon answered in the form of a fearsome charger swooping down upon the vicious beast. Either the dragon was unfamiliar with the human artifice of the lance, or it had forgotten during its imprisonment. But Sir Conner gives it a reminder that it won't soon forget (if it survives this day). "By the fair heavens above, I smite thee, foul lizard!" Pass concealment; Attack: 42 vs touch ACTrue the lance strikes, and Damage (magical): 64deep it pierces, having almost a ghostly sheen to it, ignoring the creatures scaly hide.
Another feat of aerial Wingover feat, if necessaryacrobatics and the pegasus is facing the dread lizard again. "Another attempt if you can, Luke," the knight calls down encouragingly. |

"I'll try." Luke created an orb and threw it at the dragon hoping to bypass his protective enchantments. |

Ash manages to heal herself from her injuries without drawing the wrath of the beast. She restores herself almost fully.
Conner appears once more, nearly a blur as he flies towards Ash and in true jousting form pierces the dragon for a significant would, though a bit of the magic does not make it through. Now the formidable beast directs it’s vengeance at the Paladin and strikes out like it had before, with its razor-sharp claws and massive jaw. All but one claw digs into Conner and open wounds. As the Dragon attacks, it looks at each of you… “Insects. You think I am alone?” Luke now cast’s an Orb spell to help his friends defeat this beast, and it flies at the creature, exploding on impact.

Ash giggles as she believes the dragon is bluffing, Of course not, we just killed all your guardians. If they weren't your guardians and kept you here all this time. Well enough said. As she flies to spread out and around to the back side where it's shield spell is not facing, draws her mace to Hit Dragon for 12 points of Damageattack and flank with Connor.

The knight weathers the worst of the dragon's vicious attacks, which is much more than he can say for the dragon itself, who seems much worse the wear. Its boast draws a pause of concern, though. Enough for Conner to defensivelycarefully weave another battle boon on himself and Summit. The pegasus then lands in front of the dragon, but not before planting a solid Attack 33; Damage (magic): 12hoof against the dragon's temple.
The knight shifts his grip on his lance, ready to have it out with the dragon, matching magicked steel against vicious claws. "What is your name, fell serpent, that we may carve it on this, your tomb? And what manner of allies do you claim? The room is empty, save for us. In any event, they shall soon be bereft of you." |

In a superior tactical move, the Cleric moves behind the Green Beast, giving her and her comrades advantages they did not have before. He strike does little to hurt the dragon, but the fight is still not over.
Conner takes advantage of the change in positions to attack with his mount as well, but also does minor damage. Now, from somewhere behind the beast, you can all hear a too-familiar sound. Great wings flapping in the distance, getting closer to you! The Dragon speaks once more with an evil laugh. "My name is legion, for we are many" he says. “Come children, feast on their bones” he says. You all now Secret role: Conner got a 35 Sense Motive fully believe that at least one more dragon is approaching, perhaps more. The beast swipes it’s long, powerful tail at Ashley, 16 HP slamming into the Cleric Luke’s next orb slams into the creature, striking it with great force and causing it to growl.

Sir Conner is taken aback. "The serpent speaks truly. We have incoming," he growls. The flapping of wings lends further credence to the beast's tale.
As if the knight has not reason enough to slay the dragon, the monster decides to take another swing at the priestess. It really should have taken its chances with the knight because horse and rider glare death at the beast. The pegasus rears with an angry whinny, and its master barks out: "Then, they shall have to make do feasting on your bones. Fall, accursed serpent!" Spurred by the sorceror's boon of speed, All attacks break magic DR. The knight's lance opens up wound and after wound on the beast. The dragon only manages to duck his head enough to let the last lancing scrape harmlessly against its scales. The knight just smirks as it draws too close to his steed's hooves, one of which catches the reptile's jaw with an audible crunch. Sir Conner eases his mount back a step from the teetering dragon on its last legs. He also shifts the grip on his lance back to normal, in readiness to charge whatever serpentlings may appear. |

Summit's hoof struck more soundly than he expected. The dragon teetered, and malice-filled eyes rolled back, before the bleeding body collapsed in a heap. And with it the sound of flapping wings. The knight and steed wait in still anticipation and confusion. Seconds pass without sign of the reinforcements. Knight and steed have a whispered conversation about their brief glance in the next room (actually, only Conner whispers and Summit just shakes or nods his head). Frowning, Conner flies Summit into the next room for a pass and returns, saying: "It seems the serpent was lying after all. There's nothing there, and it's a dead end."
Staring grimly at the beast's still form, he mutters: "Wait a moment." Conner flies Summit back down the hallway and returns carrying Dalor's polearm. Dismounting by the fallen beast, he intones solemnly: "For our fallen, Andivar, Dunmor, and Dalor. May they rest in peace in the bosom of the seven heavens." With a fierce swing of the glaive, Conner cleaves the dragon's head from its neck, as a final honor for the weapon's master. The dragon now headless, the weight of their victory sinks in. "We won. Our losses disheartening, but, Ash, Luke, we won." |

With the defeat of the Green Dragon, the false sound of more approaching ends as the heroes realized they were tricked. A last ditch effort to have them scurry away that failed; the adventurers held true.
It took a moment before they all realized that silence had fallen, save for their own wings flapping. They were victorious, and - at least for now - evil had again been defeated. But the cost was high as two of their friends had fallen, died in battle for the good of all. In the days that followed, funerals were held in their honor and their names read to the heavens. Once more, the land was safe... Until...
