Well... here's to hoping!
The ST boost is a short duration effect, and considering how drastic the effect is, that is completely understandable. What about Gabriels dark vision? It was only a Circle 2 effect, and only required 2 FP, but does it also have a very short duration? Or does something like that last minutes, or hours? What if he uses it on the others? (not now, of course, with his 1 remaining FP... he needs a meal and a nap!) |

Well, regarding complex effects, you can just say what kind of effects do you want and I'll tell you the fatigue cost and if you can cast it.
You can even combine effects if you want. But it will surely cost more. Last edited by Schwarz; Jan 31st, 2017 at 08:08 AM. |

I'm sorry, my question was: What is the duration on the darkvision? Is it 2d6 seconds? Or is it much longer? 2d6 minutes? 2d6 hours?

The duration will always be xd6 rounds.
What I mean is that you can increase any effect or duration by spending more fatigue on it. But the limit will be your Form+Path. Last edited by Schwarz; Jan 31st, 2017 at 09:58 AM. |

@Zazaq:
1. You should have Sense of Duty (Large Group: Islam) -10pts, instead of Code of Honor. 2. Area Knowledge: Please give details of his knowledge, for example: A small nation, a city, a large nation? 3. Melee weapon (One handed): You need to specify his proficiency, for example: Short Sword, Broadsword, Knife... 4. Here is the Breakdown of your character points: -13 points (it means that you still need to buy 13 points of disadvantages, or reduce something in your attributes, advantages or skills). 150 Points Attributes: 60 Advantages: 45 Disadvantages: -34 Quirks: 0 Skills: 92 Spells: 0 Earned: -13 5.Skills, please confirm if this is what you had in mind: 6. Advantages/Disadvantages: Last edited by Schwarz; Feb 15th, 2017 at 04:27 PM. |

@Adorios:
1. Melee Weapon: Please specify his proficiency: Knife, shortsword, spear.... 2. Crewman (IQ/E): Attribute +0: The correct skill should be Seamanship (IQ/E). Also, you need to invest at least 1 point, otherwise, the skill will default. 3. Here is the Breakdown of your character points: You still have 13 points to spend as you wish. 150 Points Attributes: 80 Advantages: 4 Disadvantages: -40 Quirks: -2 Skills: 25 Spells: 70 Race: 0 Earned: 13 4. Skills: It seems that everything is OK. 5. Advantages and Disadvantages/ Spells: Please check if this is what you had in mind. |

So... Is this a bad time to bring up that I still really don't understand how rolling for magic works in this system? Maybe it's that I'm just still pretty new to GURPS, but every time I just about think I understand how GURPS and your magic system work together, I realize I don't.
Is there a "For Dummies" version? Could there be? Some sort of cheatsheet maybe with all the answers in one easy-to-reference place?

Here's what I've figure out.
Take your Form and Path, add them together, then add 10 for your skill 'target' So, Gabriel casts a spell, all of his forms are at 1, and his only Path is humans 4. So, this is easy for now. Adding 1, 4, and 10 gets 15. I roll 3d6 and try to get 15 or lower, and the spell goes off. I can do anything in the Humans 5th circle and lower, because all of my forms are 1. Should I improve Create to 2, then I can do a Create Humans circle 6, rolling against 16, but if I do anything in Understand and Control, then that's limited to Circle 5 and skill 'target' 15. If I decide to get Fire 1, then I'll be pretty weak, because I'll be doing Create 1 + Fire 1 and rolling against Skill 'target' 12, and maximum effect achievable is Circle 2. Okay, thanks. I think I almost get it, but that might just be my brain melting. Game mechanics has never been my strong suit.

I was pretty confuzzled about it too, until I had Gabriel do some some. Learnin' by doin'
So... about that orange. I'd like a nice, fully laden orange tree to just appear in the dungeon. That would be awesome. Last edited by Karhald; Feb 15th, 2017 at 11:21 PM. |

That would be awesome.
Rosemonde would be all confuzzled like "I only meant to make one orange, but I panicked."
