Looking to get in my D&D fix here, although I'd be willing to try other systems as well. I've played since the 80s but it's been awhile since I've played in person. I've done some on roll20 too, but am in a bit of a hiatus for now. I enjoy 5e and have some of the books for it.

Welcome - I'm still working through my solo game and its been really helpful plus there are others running games that are friendly and open to those that still have that new shine
 So many distractions and temptations here. Off to break my F5 key again...

Howdy hideo gnomo,
Tell us a bit more about yourself. What is your favorite genre (horror, fantasy, scifi, etc.). What is your favorite character class? Which flavor of D&D you prefer (AD&D, 3.5e, 5e, etc.)? I hope you find a game that looks interesting to you. PbP is a bit slower, but it also makes for a richer role playing experience. So, if you prefer role playing over roll playing, this is the way to get your fix. The stories really do get filled out more...and the great thing is they are written down, so you can go back and relive them. This is a place where the people are welcoming, where the games are interesting, and where generally they only expect you to post a few times a week. I've been playing D&D for a very long time and I thought I've seen it all, but this site has some amazing games going on. I've been playing (storytelling as much as rolling) for about a year and a half now in a game that has been going on continuously for four decades, started tabletop and moved online two decades ago. It's set in an alternate Europe where the worlds of Tolkien and Howard existed in ages past. So there is a hint of LOTR and a hint of Conan in it and since it's set in an alt Europe it somehow feels familiar. This is just one example and there are other great campaigns on RPGX. You should take some time to "stroll around" the site and see if anything catches your eye.
