All APs are really popular on the site. It draws ojt every single 5000+ rep player I swear. Not to mention the really popular ones like Way of the Wicked. A dm running that AP can probably bash and berate the applicants and they would utter masochistic phrases back at the prospective DM. It's quite silly.

I'd really like a strong Kingmaker or Jade Regent campaign. I missed out on both by Sassafras due to job changes which affected when and how I could play.

I had a campaign here with Jade Regent, we made it to book 4, unfortunately the DM quitted because of RL. That's the only AP I really played significantly.

Just cause I love dancing on deadlines...

Isa Suthrin
The Basics
left-aligned image

Race: Half Varisian
Class: Unchained Rogue
Party Role(s): Skill Monkey/Melee (stabby)
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Traits/Drawback: Thrill Seeker, Crowd Dodger, Acrobat / Overprotective
Physical Description: Isa is blessed or possibly cursed with the gift of complete and utter normality. There is nothing exceptionable about anything, she is neither tall nor short, thin nor round, muscled nor willowy, beautiful nor ugly. Isa was average, utterly and completely average.

Light brown eyes flecked with the smallest specks of silver peek out from slight waves of dusted brunette locks, which in turn frame a slightly oval face, lightly tanned skin from a life predominately outside. More often then not though, these tresses are braided and twisted up to prevent the strands from impeding both her vision and the more serious annoyance of 'hair in mouth' often created by the near constant ocean breezes.

Her clothing bespeak a simple, quiet life, homespun linen skirt when she must (which is typically far more often then she secretly wishes), leather and linen breaches when she could and a simple cotton spun tunic dyed an oh so simple light blueish tint as the only real source of colour aside from the dusty browns and simple greys.

PersonalityChipper, sweet, adorable, kind... there are a multitude of words that are oft placed upon the question of Isa's personality. On the surface she is all smiles and pleasantries, charming and delightful to a level that she has polished through the years of being ignored to the point she had been able to witness far more then people might have wished. She knows how to charm and uses her inside knowledge to reach her end goals.

To those who get to know Isa better, the rare, the few, there is a level of deep sarcasm and cynicism, Isa knows the world is not all rainbows and butterflies, indeed she knows that there is so much more out there and it will most likely eternally remain beyond her reach, for she is no bold warrior nor wild adventurer, she is merely Isa Suthrin, simple seamstress of Sandpoint.

BackgroundBorn and raised in Sandpoint, Isa's utter averageness extends well beyond her appearance. The daughter of a blacksmith and a seamstress, an older brother to follow in her father's footsteps and she for her mothers, the Suthrin family was utterly average. They had just enough to live comfortably, but never so much as to raise to the levels of decadence and delight, nor so little that they went to bed hungry. Her father, a wayward Northerner of unknown, or at least unspoken origins, did not even make such wondrous things as weapons, but typically horseshoes and other fastenings required by horsemen and stables.

Her mother, a Varsian, made simple clothing for the local families, her stitching far superior then most, though not so perfect that she had ever attracted the elite to her small store. Still it was a useful talent and Isa had found her own, nimble fingers excelled at the womanly craft and created the most vibrant dresses, sashes and anything else which might be ordered.

In short, Isa's family life mirrored her physical, everything was simple, straightforward and average, which is undoubtedly why Isa found herself caught in the middle of a double life. The simple seamstress, the proper, average daughter, had discovered at an early age that her nimble fingers were not only useful in the art of needlepoint, but also in the more nefarious realm of 'acquisition'. It was not entirely her fault, her mother's blood ran strong in her veins, even if Isa did not posses the same gloriously coloured eyes nor deepest olive toned skin. Isa's mother had given up her own culture's bold and brashness and had accepted her husband's own quiet ways, but Isa personally felt that her mother's choices should not be expected of her as well.

Despite this, she had remained quite average, though perhaps in this case it was more due to her very real concern that such skills could result in a heap of trouble she would rather avoid. Still, as years passed, Isa had spent time practicing, only to those who could afford the loss, and after a chance encounter with a gregarious street urchin, had expanded her practices to include sharp, pointy things, not that she ever had a real need, it was merely as close as she would ever get to the adventures one could listen to at one of many taverns within the city.

Role-Play Sample
It was a conversation which Isa ought not to have actually heard, nor listened in its contents. Indeed, had Isa been the proper daughter her father believed her to be and her mother hoped she might be, Isa would have been properly abed, safe and secure under the familial roof. The truth was anything but the expectations of her family, as practiced steps carried her along the eves and then a nimble hop had dropped her to the ground, just outside the window which held the conversation not meant for her ears.

"She is of age, and it has been a long time since I have been home beloved, a journey and if the gods will it, a proper husband for Isa."

There were more words, many more words, of which some might have coloured Isa's ears, had she remained to listen to her mother's response, the fire of a Varisian is not easily extinguished even if on the surface her mother seemed every inch no longer inclined toward her people's tendencies. Yet Isa had not remained, had not stood to listen to her mother's defense of her daughter, nor her daughter's right to meet a man she might fall in love with, much in the way her mother had, even if it was not to a man who might meet her father's impossibly high standards.

Really it was a shame Isa had missed all of that, and yet it was possibly more fitting that she had spun into the dark of the night and set off on her own paths. Shadows seemed to welcome her as Isa allowed her feet to lead while her mind raced with the possibilities that this would be her last festival. There was no argument she believed possible to change her father's mind, and in truth how terrible would it be to be married and just continue along in the oh so average life she had become accustomed to living. Yet the desire to break free, to dance in the moonlight, to be beholden to none summoned her onward, a siren's call she could not, would not deny.

Why had it only been three weeks since the Sczarni had offered, suggested she could find more interesting work among their ranks? Was this the out, the other side of the coin? Should she, would she... ah but those at the bottom were oh so infuriatingly naive at how the world worked (not that she had a great grasp, but she knew a patsy when she saw one), and to claw her way up, well it just did not suit her. Isa did not crave power, authority, nor even glory. No, the Sczarni were not truly for her, though she had her friends among them.

Her path carried her toward the docks, the scent of salt and seaweed rose to the dank levels of rot, the rancid smells which clung to the vessels at port and denoted which carried fish within their depths and which the more lavish cloths and tradewares. Still, Isa had no answers, no reason to not go on this journey which seemed to be about to be thrust upon her, and yet as she stood on the end of the pier and stared out into the depths of the dark beyond, the first stirrings of rebellion began to rise.

The double life, up until this point, had always sought to please her father, to be all he wished while she privately maintained her own life, the wild fun and risky mini adventures, but this night... this night she considered what it would mean to choose a single side in which to live, to continue onward in, and frighteningly so, the path North, the familial duties had begun to lose their battle for dominance or even balance within her life.

Two more days, two days until the Festival, the riots of colours, of noise and delight, of hedonism and chaos. She knew there would be no journey before then, for the Swallowtail Festival was a delight her mother still held to, despite her father's glowering take on the event. Two days to decide her future, which way would the scales sway and fall, to which would she run? Isa was running out of time.

I just read yesterday that a RL group needed 2 years for the whole campaign.

Thus, I assume, there is enough time for reinforcement for this game within the next ten years.

One AP can take between 7-8 years to complete. In jade regent our group did 3 book in 3-4 years and we were posting several time a week.
