"Talk over with it and respond in the Harbormaster's Quarters within a day this time. Mid afternoon and I will be finalizing the charter for the Hydra Fang with the Harbormaster himself. Once a decision is made, I will go ahead and detail the mission for you. If this is something your interested then yes, compensation can be awarded and you will receive a plentiful bounty. I dare say here what that is but the profit is indeed a charitable cause to my efforts. The Trident is scheduled to set sail one day after tomorrow and if the Andoran Ship is not defunct and taken out of the equation, we will be at odds with finding another way to sink the ship. I dare say open war maybe inevitable between our two countries if we cannot make it look like it was an accident. I was hoping that something along the lines of a fire breaking out will ruin their chances for the ship to sail."

You cannot discern any motive other than the 'cowardly' act of his personality. Once haughty and full of himself has been reduced to a visage of a broken husk of his former self. Once maybe this man was proud and earning himself quite the reputation is now frightened and shaken from the gory combat between the un-death and the aquatic races. Making your way back through the smaller chambers, Tham seals the door as everyone begins to catalog the books and return most of the aged tomes to the cart. It does not take too long mostly till about Mid afternoon to finally board up the Old Library and place some wood and nails around the door so that haunted place does not harbor any other denizens of the dark.
Standing outside, Lady Nel nods to the four of you excluding Gill and shouts out, "Maybe see you around! Tell Reyd to get a hold of me. I kind of like the chap!" Then Belros horse continues to trollop through the city wide streets, returning through the maze and intricate cobblestone roads. The rickety wheels make sound as the horse proudly displays it's carrying capacity, as the animal and company find themselves back at the Lodge in the Foreign Quarter. Tham nods to all and begins to have some squires and neonates un pack the books for further study. Tham begins to say, "The books will be shipped several blocks away to the New Library. The name of the Library is still in the air so we would like your entourage to come up with a name for the library. Let us know what the final say of this matter and we will make it so. Please know if you need to research or find information regarding anything, the Library will be open for your business at anytime. Thank you once again." Tham takes Gill off your hands and leaves the three of you standing near inside the Gate and the entrance to the Lodge. Last edited by Storm; Feb 9th, 2014 at 03:02 PM. |

"We will have your answer by the days end." Molrim hold out his hand to shake. Molrim begins to walk upstairs towards Skurvin to see how he is fairing with hessian and to share information. When he gets upstairs with drink in hand he silently sits down next to Skurvin with a silent nod to the men to show that he meant no harm.

Pogar is not his usual boisterous self, as of recent. Having been surrounded with the magical airs, so close to his head, it has really shaken him into an unusual silence. He barely reacted when Gill was found and barely made any of his typical threats.
Once Tham takes off with Gill, Pogar grunts about needing to think. Then proceeds to find the nearest Inn to consume massive quantities of mead and ale. |

As the two of you approach the upstairs landing, Nessian is seen walking towards you with his entourage of cut throats and thugs. He nods to you, not aware that you are in Skurvin, Reyd and Naum's party. Once back the six of you casually tip Kyra and Mara a few coins and they thank you for your wonderful hospitality. Each party has some information to share with one another as the six of you leave the Crimson Coin. Feeling a little better about your meetings, there is adventure abound and the news of each dealing with Nessian and Du'Moire.
You can't help but feel the intoxicating effects of the liquor flow through your bloodstream as you casually make your way through the northern part of the Dock District to wave for another Carriage back to the Pathfinder Society. The same driver sees you and continues to pass by with a disgruntled look on his face. After some moments waving down another Carriage, the man stops and you pay for your ride through to the Foreign Quarter. The ride is a little slower this time of day as people mill about the streets tending to their business. The streets are crowded as the Carriage and traffic is congestive and tedious at best. Soon your transportation takes several hours and you see Faunra, Pogar and Belros standing within the main gate. The Carriage slows and stops letting each of you leave the Carriage somewhat buzzed and feeling warm. The driver shoves off and continues to drive away leaving the four of you to catch up with the three that were tending to the business of the Old Library. A reunion of sorts, each of you has pressing news and either talking with one another or Hestrem should be relatively inspiring considered quite the morning tending to investigation, combat and diplomacy. |

Skurvin says little to the others on the ride home, other than answering direct questions as simply as possible and allaying any concerns they have about reprisals from the War Hounds. He doesn’t mention the proposed job to them, feeling that the only one who need know of it was their benefactor as it would be for him to decide how to act.
He listens to any information his companions share with him, including them into the countless quiet calculations he was making in his head as he played out one scenario after another, trying to find the best moves in each case. From all appearances, Nessian was a foolish thug who was happily jumping at the chance for allies and power. Likely this baron business was too much for him and his crew, so he was shirking onto others. If things were as they appeared, then all the better, but there was always the chance Skurvin was being played. He would share this concern with Hestrem, and leave the decision, and the blame for any unfavorable consequences, up to him. Kria for her part remains quiet as she keeps a vigilant lookout. While Skurvin may be feeling the effects of alcohol, she had imbibed nothing, and required neither food nor drink, only the steady supply of energy Skurvin supplied her. When the group arrives back at headquarters, Skurvin is slightly disappointed to see that the other group was alive and well. Perhaps it had been hoping for too much seeing as they were simply gathering books, but Skurvin did live for the little bonuses life occasionally provided.

Reyd turns to the others and says, "Well folks, I'm going to take my cut and leave before this business with Nobles, Commoners and Thugs begins to set off. I really enjoyed my time with you but there are pressing matters that I need to deal with. Let's say I'm in a position to best serve the chances of coin in my purse strings and fatten my wallet. No offense guys, just I have found a lucrative offer." Shaking your hands, the Rogue smiles and begins to walk away. Wondering if you'll ever see him again. He makes his way into the inner city which displays a large and expansive view of crowded buildings, smoke filtering into the air and the uncanny smell of the inner city.
Naum is the next to leave and speaks, " My home is with the woods! There is a calling to travel home and I'm sorry for leaving all of you but my time with you is at an end. I can rest now knowing that this whole mess will not impact the earth and land, only a bunch of rabbling men and woman conspiring against this person and that person. It was to say the least, an opportunity to meet all of you and know wherre to find you. This calling is a calling to travel home and protect the wilderness from threats to the earth." Shaking your hand, he turns and goes in an opposite direction. Heading towards an unknown location. It is also unknown if you will see him again but time spent with the Druid was not to be forgotten. While the Half Orc is quiet he was part of the original crew and for that some may have a place in their heart for him. |

”Goodbye” in Orc; from WoW, but still lolZil’nok, the elf says to Naum. Her slender elven hand shakes the hand of Reyd. Well wishes, Reyd. Oh, and Lady Nel asked about you back at the docks.
After goodbyes to old party members are said, our wizardly elf turns to her current companions, those with whom she beat up a bunch of ghouls and those with whom she is happy to reunite with. AAGH! How much did you drink?!! Her keen senses could perceive the liquor from several feet away. Well I’m sure a fine time was had by all, at least. So what’s the news from the tavern, Morton? How’re tricks, Molrim? Skurvin, did Kria help keep you a safe-enough distance away from these two tricksters? Ha ha! She waits for levity (or awkwardness) to ensue, and then gives a brief summary of her trio’s activities. Right, so we got all the tomes out of that blasted building into a cart that we strapped to ol’ Farstrider over there. Tham helped us annotate and account for everything. ‘Twill be a marvelous, most stupendous library and community resource indeed! Ah, the opportunities it shall afford the common man, woman and child! I cannot wait to immerse myself into the body of knowledge contained therein. Belros, do you think they’ll require us to make appointments, or might’n we get in based on our merits? Ha ha! She manages to remove her head from the proverbial clouds after a brief moment, and then tags her summary statement rather briskly. Oh, and we fought some ghouls that were in the basement; Tham helped us seal the place up. And also we found Gill and ran him in, he’s been placed under arrest. Amolas, No! Quit trying to play 'mousie' and pouncing at Molrim’s curved blade, that’s not a toy! Sorry about that.

Molrim stands there chuckling at Amolas' finding it amusing to play with a tool which could harm it so. "Well it seems you guys have been on quite an adventure, and I thought we were the ones who were going to be in for a brawl! Glad to see my friends are in good health though!"
He took a quick drink of water before speaking. "We were able to meet with Nessian, well, Skurvin did. We had to split up for a time as a new offer had sprung up. Captain Du'Moire was at the Crimson Inn which we had set up to meet with Nessian in the first place. He offered us a "Job" of sorts. There is a ship leaving the docks who might get a bid for trading and he will not let this happen. He is looking for a group to sabotage the ship, to make it look like an "accident". Due to the essence of time we need to make a decision sooner rather than later. Personally I suggest the job offered by Du'Moire. While personally I am not a fan of sabotage, keeping nations away from conflict is a higher priority. I think though, between the six of us, we can come up with a way to make sure that neither get the upper hand." He smiles and winks to Morton. Molrim makes his way to a chair with his glass of water, for he was quite parched, and sat down slowly sipping the drink waiting to here from his companions that remained.

Belros is sorry to see Reyd and Naum depart their companion. There were certainly things about Reyd's character that he would liked to have pursue with the rogue but he felt he was indeed a capable companion. He would also miss Naum as the half-orc was the only one in the group that the priest could look at eye-to-eye. He bids them both farewell, however, and lets them know that he will be available to either of them if they ever have a need.
"I can't say the idea of out and out 'sabotage' appeals to my sense of duty and law," offers Belros as he hears of the one job. "But perhaps I don't really understand the need for such a tactic. Why exactly would we want to do this? What good would it further for our purposes? Perhaps more information would help in deciding. Or we could take counsel of Hestrem and see what he thinks?" |
