Klar: That works, yeah. The large horns are perhaps a bit more exaggerated than I'd like, but I can live with it if you're not up for making major changes. I'd prefer it without the hair, and if the color can be bleached to remove the reddish-pink highlights, I'd appreciate it. A swordblade (a gladius-type shortsword blade, along the lines of this one would be about right) would extend out from under the nose, straight down (as the skull is pictured in those images). The shield handle would be on the back, just forward of where the large horns meet the main skull. And if you could fill in the gaps with something, I'd appreciate that as well.

Clothing: Well. Um. Torso-wise, I was thinking more along the lines of a full armor shirt. Think along the lines of a scale-mail t-shirt, only made of leather. Or hardened alligator hide. Or something along those lines. A nix on the exposed skin thing (and while I know this is just a generic model, Lyotah doesn't have nearly that much of a bust, or any particular interest in flaunting it).

Cloakwise... I'm not entirely sure what the mantle/collar thing on the shoulders is, but probably not really fitting. I was thinking more in lines of, say, only a couple steps up from straight-up tanned animal hides (this goes for most of her clothing, actually). Kinda the classic barbarian nomad style.

Leggings (that is, individual pant legs tied to a belt) and a hide loincloth (going down perhaps to the knees?) would be ideal, but nothing as fancy as what you've got pictured there. Boots would be rough hide.

And the Rucksack is just a simple backpack/shoulder bag to carry stuff in. Tanned hides, nothing fancy or complex.

For the spears, this one comes the closest to the appropriate proportions, though the haft is a bit more ornamental than one would expect. Would it be possible to replace everything below the spearhead with just a plain wooden pole?

Klar I'll try to fill in those ocular/nasal cavity holes, or at least size them down; but I'm making no promises [I know this figure has a lot of morphs, but its new so I don't know the extent of them yet]. If I am to incorporate a metallic blade extending down from item, the sword itself would have to end up being the handle portion as well, running vertically snout to base of the skull. There's no way I could put the blade inside the bone of the object (unless I sized it up ridiculously large, and I mean like tower shield large). This is due to the curve of the skull, its arched and I can't bend a blade like that.

Torso: Something more like this then?
 


Mantle So adjust the texture/color to appear more tanned leather, than greenish leather? With the torso piece being changed the mantle would be less functionally needed.

Leggings I might... have something that looks exactly like that.... if not I know I have a modern garter/leggings combo which I might be able to re-texture to appear primitive.

Rucksack I've got a few shoulder bags, only one backpack [and it is decidedly modern, retexturing it wouldn't help].....

Spears Possibly... if I can 0% opacity the shaft portions of that spear I can parent it to one of these:

Right, I expected that. It actually makes sense based on the item - they basically take a shortsword blade and tie it to the bottom of the skull instead of a handle. If you have to include the handle as well, that's fine, as long as it's not to obvious.

Something like that could work, or a similar design without the overlapping scales but with an alligator hide-like pattern.

Yeah, I was thinking more along the lines of losing the mantle.

Of the options, the third from the bottom (plain wood) would be the best. Perhaps a little long, but I'm not sure exactly how it would look with a spearhead.

Major revisions to Lily!

So as I quipped about earlier, here's the readjusted tattoo. As much as I look at it, it feels off-center, but as much as I look at it, it appears dead-center. I think what I'm seeing is an optical illusion caused by the curve of the sun's rays which throw my perception to think its off. I could use a second (or more) set of eyes to opinion on it.

Also, I was reeeally frustrated with the wings I had on her originally, they were just clumsy to manipulate (a forward swoop was too difficult to try for as ugly as the mesh bent when attempted). So, I replaced them. I think this look pretty boss, and the thinner bones lend a bit more femininity to the figure as a whole.

I've seen that thread, which is some really cool work too. I've actually had one in mind for myself which I never got around to completing. Though, if I ever manage to land a game where I get to play my giant dragonfly riding candle caster again... I might find the motivation to make it.

I think the tattoo is a little off center, Not a lot, just enough to mess with your brain.

The wings are fine, but can you make them larger? They look too small to actually work. More importantly, although I don't expect you to be able to manipulate them to do so, she is able to 'wear' them so they pass as a 'cloak' to someone not giving her careful scrutiny. As such, they need to be long enough to actually kinda look like that.

I knew that was off... just a little... I'll tweak that again before I do another render.

Those wings, actually, I'm pretty confident can do that much. Basically [it wasn't the best angle to show it] the fourth render of the wings is curving and twisting them as a morph, while the bones are still at a 0 rotation/translation. I can manually bend each bone (just like the previous set of wings) but this new set morphs with the forward/backward bend so that the mesh acts smoothly with the movement. The old ones, how to describe this... imagine holding an arm under a bed sheet draped flat on the ground and then lifting your arm straight up, it should look like a tent, yes? Rather than sloping off both directions from the peak, take your other arm and lay it flat against the ground on the top of one side of the sheet, so that's what the old wings did when you bent them.

Erm... rambling conclusion.... I'm much happier with these wings... which I can make larger without a problem.

Oh yea, totally. Adventures in the Forgotten Realms is really moving along through all of this. Vespar is getting back on track after a short player vacation as well.

I mean, yes, there's been a lot of requests put forth, but at the same time; as I said in item one in my introduction post, I take my time. Now my laundry... that has taken a penalty, but I'm not entirely certain that is related to everything here on the boards

But in all seriousness. I'm having a good time with all of this, so no worries. Requests can keep coming in, the group project I took on is inherently large in and of itself, so finishing 1 or 2 single characters out here will always take a higher place in the cue.

Ok, take 2 on the wardrobe here. Be brutal, but I think we're getting closer. Also, I pictured the Klar object (native size) in the renders so we can appropriate the proportions to Lyotah.
