Also dice-rolling can do cool stuff. You can hide it all in a spoiler tag and roll against AC with automatic crit rolling if success and stuff like..

 


This diceroll uses:
  • a spoilerbutton wrapping (SPOILERBUTTON="Unarmed (Dual wielding) (Melee vs. AC)")
  • a dice roller (dice = Mainhand)
  • The code "d20+2sch14cx,19 d3+4ci1" for the dice roller

The dice roller code does:
  • d20+2: rolls a d20 for attack roll and adds 2 (BAB+MOD)
  • sch14: check against an AC of 14
  • cx,19: criticals on a roll of 19+
  • d3+4: The damage of the attack
  • ci1: Critical ADDITIONALS (= multiplier - 1, e.g. if you do a x3 crit you add two more rolls so it would be ci2)

Note for the AC, just use an AC of 0 (because you don't know the AC of the monster) so this example roller would turn out like "d20+2sch0cx,19 d3+4ci1" as seen below. So pretty much you can figure out each one of these rolls for every one of your attacks/spells and just copy-paste as needed, or just make them up on the spot. Yay dice

 


Note that if you edit a post with dice rolls in it, it puts a huge warning flag on the post.

Maps may be done just by hand like in the picture attached, or I could try getting Visio working and do map elements with that. Other tools are like Tiamat (http://www.rpgobjects.com/tiamat/index.php). I would prefer the hand-drawn, as it is super easy for me :P

I'm confused about the 15 point buy... it says an ability score of 18 is 17 points...

If you want an 18 you have to spend 17 points, yes. So you would have to take some negatives (e.g. a 7 is -4 points).

So Rob just brought to my attention the awesomeness of focused arcane schools (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core...arcane-schools). Feel free to use any of the Classic Arcane Schools (e.g. Banishment or Counterspell under Abjuration) but please stick to one per school (don't have a Banishment and Counterspell wizard, they're both Abjuration at heart). No Elemental Arcane Schools please
