It might not matter. If the Boar dealt 12 piercing damage to Zorb, he's knocked out.

It would be a contest between the two. If Zorb won then nothing would happen if thre boar won then Zorb would be pushed back 5ft.
Pretty much a save but with a DC that changes every time.

But yes Zorb looks to be unconscious.

Ah, ok. I thought the Boar's ability was operating like Shoving a Creature in PHB 195. That one used opposed Str (Athletics) or Dex (Acrobatics) checks. Good to know.

Do you know how saving throws in 5E work?

The next round you start rolling your death saving throws. If you roll:
10 or lower you fail once
1 then you fail twice
11 or higher you succeed once
20 you regain 1 hit point

3 fails and then Zorb dies for good
3 successes then Zorb stabilizes by himself and will slowly regenerate a hit point and wake up... with enough rest = a Long rest.

It is a straight D20 roll with no modifiers.

If any one else wants to stabilize you then they can use magic to bring you Hit Points back up or use a Medicine (Wisdom) check. When stabalizing a dieing creature the DC is still 10 (11 or higher) but you can add your wisdom modifier and your proficiency bonus if you are proficient in the Medicine skill.

Another DM note
I've added the map and changed the status of everyone as far as the terrain is concerned. Morbid is the only one still in difficult terrain.

Clarification: Doesn't rolling a 20 on a death saving throw revive you at 1hp?

I just modified my last Combat post to include the Giant Boar falling asleep. Didn't make much sense to me to make a separate post just for that.

Your first fight as the Raggles and you survived. We will continue in the 'Prelude to Glory' thread out of initiative now, so back to posting as you wish.
Moving forward I'll let you take the lead again. Before you is a sleeping giant boar and a chewed on dead hare.

I want to say thank you all for your entertaining posts and also for being understanding of the type of game that we are in together. Everyone here seems able to separate in game banter between characters and real life, which I am grateful for.

The way we'll dish out xp will be like this:
As it happens I'll dish it out.
The boar is worth 300xp for everyone take 50xp for the defeat of the Which is really a medium creature Giant Boar

Leveling up can only happen in a 'Long Rest'. As you are still 250xp away from level 2 that shouldn't be an issue yet.



I'm interested to see what you all do now

That depends how heavy big the giant boar is. Shouldn't be a problem for 6 goblins.

Well we don't need the whole boar right? Think we can just carve it up here take what we need and leave the rest?

Take the head back as proof at least.
