Just a warning my computer died last night on me (it won't even turn on), 4 days after my roommates laptop croaked it (concidence? i think not!). So I was looking over the rules and such for Steam and Steel. What do you think of them?

I am considering doing a bit of modification to those rules to make them a bit simpler, but keeping much of what goes along with it. I like much of it, but there are a few bits that are confusing.

Would you prefer to keep those exact rules or have some modifications?
-clarifications on when Mainenance is required
-what does/doesn't need an engine

As i'm not planning on using anything from steel and steam i don't mind either way and will leave that up to others in the group

I would prefer some set details, as the character I am running uses a prosthetic arm, details are always useful. I don't mind modifications either

I would definately have details, but it would be a few changes to the system them wrote.

Example: Running items (always on) require a maintenance check at least 1 in a 24 hr period. Activated items require a check (as part of the activation) as they are turned on. MW items can be made that do not require maintenance checks at double cost (maintenance is assumed, though RP preferred <oiling, cleaning, etc>).

That plus a few other that are more to clarify the rules.
