Ergot is another language than Common, though they share an alphabet and have common roots. All races get two languages as usual, common and either a racial or regional language. If your background grants you extra languages, you may choose any you like/make sense. In rare cases a PC may get a language „for free“ e.g. Irda get Kolshet, Alan-Atu the language of the same name and wizards get Magius.

@everyone: If you are not happy with your racial bonus to your abilities you may swap them for others you find more important or more appropriate e.g. turn a +2 Str to +2 Wis etc.

Elanir, is it okay to go Variant Human still? I know I put human in my app, but I wasn't thinking about stats as much as character. I am not decided but trying to formulate a plan.

Glad to be here at the beginning of what I hope will be both a great game and an even greater story.

Actually, not only glad, but pretty damn excited! Dragonlance is a setting very dear to me and to once again walk on Krynn after... oh... almost 20 years give or take? Yes, it is a good feeling.

And at least in my experience, with Elanir as the one to guide us all on this journey of sorts, I am more than certain that we are all in for quite the treat.

Well, if you come across any vorpal swords... hide them. Or maybe not mention them? Especially if their current owner is a balor. Trust me on this.

Last question (I hope). I remember seeing in the application process that there were some custom feats suggested to some of the applicants. Do you have a list of these? Or are you willing to share some of the ones that would apply to a character who, hmm I dunno, is randomly a human of Solamnia and just happens to be a fighter?

Thank you! So Tegan is complete. His sheet can be found here. I chose heavy armor master as my bonus feat, and tough with the variant human feat. I also took the interception fighting style because Tegan is definitely a protector and really disapproves of enemies attacking his friends allies.

In case anyone is interested, I generally run my stat block at the bottom of my posts. My brother showed me a neat one that someone used in one of his games (I'd love to give credit, but I honestly have no idea). It's pretty cool. Mine will look like this - you are welcome to steal and input your own data if interested:

I think Kaylen's sheet is done. I included a link in my character post. Let me know if I missed anything. If it is appropriate, like we are starting in a desert or something like that, other spell choices might be more appropriate.

That stat block was originally developed by Gaijin prior to the Survivor competition a few years back. I have lost the original code for it. Can you modify characters and post it in this thread for me to copy, repair and use?
