Glad to meet you in the WM, I'm ready to cheer for Baka as much as I am for Shai-Tan. ![]() @secretID: I'm also psyched for a second game to send your character's life into turmoil. I think I've mentioned it before, but I feel like Geghard will lend himself perfectly to the mystery ahead. ![]() About your PI, on your character sheet it does say that he's not proficient in Investigation though? I'm ready to change my table when you let me know that his skills are in order. ![]() @BarrowB: We haven't started yet, so I have no problem if you do some shopping right now retroactively. About druids and armor, I'm personally willing to go up to scalemail for the sake of armor made without metal, beyond that I feel like you'd narratively need to find a specialist that makes specially designed armors. Honestly, I haven't asked the GM enclave what's our general stance on this, but in comparison I think studded leather with bone is your best bet anyways, and I don't think that one is too inplausible to exist. So if that's what you want to Aurora to wear, you can go ahead. On another note, while I don't think that it would come up this adventure, do you think Aurora's curse would be increasing the duration of time that it takes to doff her armor?

@Mindsiege
Ok then, sold whole Monster Hunter pack, leather armour and returned dagger. Bought the Studded Leather and a bunch of simple, cheap stuff, so now my AC should be 17/16. Regarding curse, I think it indeed would make taking off the armour longer but putting it on should probably stay the same. (I see it as putting the armour over the dress, and the dress slowly crawling over it to always be the top layer.) (Not like she really has a reason to ever take off the armour, as it is light.) Oguun needs light. He has the Light cantrip. He already picked up a healer's kit so he can stabilize downed PCs, but his actual ability to heal is pretty much limited to his two spell slots.

Hey CoffeeRogue, welcome to the party. Honestly, this adventure will be a bit special, so we'll see how much opportunity you will get to get your character in trouble.
![]() On a more general note, I've put up my general GM introduction that I'll be using in all my games from now on, but this adventure in particular might see some alternations to what I usually do. As soon as I get the time to write out Almavalesh'es explanation in the game thread, you'll see what I mean. ![]()

Right - forgot the very high DEX.
The PHB is unclear; I've always believed not, but now I see that Sage Advice says yes. In my experience most DMs accept Sage Advice. Quote:

Hello everyone!
Just want you to know that my familiar is a spider, something that can crawl into small spaces as well as climb up walls and stay pretty hidden, will try to make her as useful as possible for the team. Other than that, got some utility like spells for the group, some ritual spells to not use up spell slots, and skilled in investigation, arcana and religion.

![]() I've noted that Rolen has already bought his materials to summon his familiar, though if there is still some gold lying around I might suggest buying a second dosage in case if you'll have to resummon her. Also, just to get on the same page as you, for your familiar we're talking about a spider that can beat a rat in a tug of war depending on who has the better day, and she has the speed to bridge 20ft in a matter of 6 seconds. So while your spider is a pretty tiny creature in DnD terms, we're talking about a body that's at least the size of a human fist or probably a good bit bigger. Probably about the scale that you'd use as a prop to have her sit on your shoulder for Halloween. ![]() If you tell me her name, I can already add her to the resource table as a full-fledged party member. The same can apply to Derek, who can start with his familiar summoned if he has paid the gold and wants to have them around from the beginning. ![]() @edit: Also, in case if Rolen wants to utilize his Identify spell for this adventure, I will require him to carry the material component for that ritual on his person. As with the other characters, you are free to sell other equipment at their full price to get that settled. ![]()

Ok sounds good! You're darn right it could mess up a rat, also a delicacy to the spider when given the chance, her name is Ara, and if she dies during this adventure then so be it! When I have the coin again I shall bring her back!
Agreed with the identify spell, if we need to, when we complete the mission and I possibly get more coin, I will use it to get the components to the spell and I will keep the party notified about what it was and we can discuss how we would like to handle who gets it.

That's correct in case of magical loot items because those usually get identified as part of the WM system at the end of the adventure, but technically the spell Identify has more applications than just that. Still, I'm absolutely fine if you want to swap that spell out.
![]() @edit: By design of the WM loot system, magical items that aren't part of loot are rare to come up. Still, I think it would always be dependant on the actual quest and how a GM has designed an adventure if a niche spell like Identify becomes relevant.

Ok, will take that into consideration, it still might prove helpful to have at some point so will think pretty hard on whether to keep it or not.
