Is Izim offering it as a scroll? If one of our guys has to keep the concentration and if it's only 10 mins thats not go great.
Driftglobe is worth 250gp.

If not a scroll, it would work like it.

Rikke has a +1 wisdom mod, unfortunately +1 isn't much help at anything.

Rolen knows Pro G/E and has a scroll. He will likely use either scroll or spells when combat is imminent. IMO, Pro G/E is hands down the best spell. We may want/need to have some of the spell casters (Rolen will volunteer) to run the spell on our more vulnerable members. Specifically Azure Nokuri, Rolen would happily cover Honeysuckle with the spell. @SecretID, I don't remember getting an answer on what Rolen can Counterspell. https://dr-eigenvalue.github.io/best...ture/yagnoloth Here is my understanding: Spells Cast by Spellcasters - Yes Innate Spellcasting - Yes (e.g. Yaganoloth Lightning Bolt) Abilities - No (e.g., Yagnolith Teleport below)

I don't know if you guys remember, but Glanteth spent his entire downtime before the previous adventure researching the strengths and weaknesses of the barghest and Damage Resistances cold, fire, lightning, poison; bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing from nonmagical attacks.
Telepathic Bond. The fiend ignores the range restriction on its telepathy when communicating with a creature it has charmed. The two don’t even need to be on the same plane of existence. Shapechanger. The fiend can use its action to polymorph into a Small or Medium humanoid, or back into its true form. Without wings, the fiend loses its flying speed. Other than its size and speed, its statistics are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn’t transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies. Charm. One humanoid the fiend can see within 30 feet of it must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be magically charmed for 1 day. The charmed target obeys the fiend’s verbal or telepathic commands. If the target suffers any harm or receives a suicidal command, it can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on a success. If the target successfully saves against the effect, or if the effect on it ends, the target is immune to this fiend’s Charm for the next 24 hours. The fiend can have only one target charmed at a time. If it charms another, the effect on the previous target ends. Draining Kiss. The fiend kisses a creature charmed by it or a willing creature. The target must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw against this magic, taking 32 (5d10 + 5) psychic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The target’s hit point maximum is reduced by an amount equal to the damage taken. This reduction lasts until the target finishes a long rest. The target dies if this effect reduces its hit point maximum to 0. Etherealness. The fiend magically enters the Ethereal Plane from the Material Plane, or vice versa.succubus instead of making money. He shared what he found out with you at The On Your Shield before departing. It looks to me like the charm can be manageable. There's plenty more capabilities that have me even more worried than the charm, as secretID isn't to be underestimated. I certainly don't anticipate battling a lone succubus, either. We'll probably be wading through lesser devils just to get a shot at her. |

Thank you diligent Glanteth!
Perhaps we are good then. Just a quick sack tap to anyone who gets charmed. Although HS would still like the Protection Vs Evil if Rolan is willing. Would mean he can go reckless without penalty. And now he's got that sword of sharpness, that's double chance to get that extra 4d6.

Yeah, the PfEaG will give HS advantage on his save. We just need 1 successful save each to be immune, but a "sack-tapped" victim can be re-charmed after being snapped out of it. He's also capable of doing massive damage to a teammate on the first turn of being charmed.

I'll post a message declining the deal soon. Nothing else to do at this location after that.
Honeysuckle's default loadout is Sword of Sharpness (longsword) and shield.

Rolen's default loadout is a shield and empty hand -Eldritch Blast with an FOI to draw and attack with Staff of Adder if anyone gets in melee range.
We probably need to chat a bit about tactics. A/the biggest benefit of a Succubus is her/their ability to shift onto the Etherial Plane (effectively an auto-escape). This is an ability that Rolen cannot Counterspell. The ability is an action. So, the only way to counter it is to do something that will take away her 'Action'. For example, Stinking Cloud. As written, "On a failed save, the creature spends its action that turn retching and reeling." Note Rolen has a bit of a loophole. The Blink spell gives Rolen a 50/50 chance of being on the Etherial Plane. This shift happens at the end of Rolen's turn, but he can Ready an Action (e.g., Eldritch Blast) to be used as a Reaction when he sees Miss Ignisora - not much, but a 50/50 chance of a parting shot.

I double checked - Rolen has +6 Wis Save and Adv on saves vs. being charmed. He can/will run Pro G/E on one of the more vulnerable members of the party (Honeysuckle ?).

More questions
What happens if someone is grappling the succubus when she shift to the Etherial Plane? What happens if the Succubus goes unconscious on the Etherial Plane? Do we need/want to strike to subdue (in melee)? How the chain applied to the Succubus? What does the chain do to the Succubus? E.g., render Incapacitated, no spells, charmed?
