I'm afraid that information will cost you. I will say that I think you would have survived just fine. FWIW, this wasn't me as DM warning you off; I would only do that if the PCs can probably understand a danger better than the players can.

It sounds like Gil and Tolan are headed out, but feel free to post anything contrary or anything you want to do on the way out. If they're just going to leave ASAP, you can let me know the general plan and I'll work out the timing with what Storm's doing. Since Gil got the door open quickly, Storm is only a few minutes ahead of Gil and Tolan, and it's daytime.

Gil's still heading out, hesitating only if Tolan isn't. As far as he knows in-character, that next room is 100% fatal which is 100% counter to his current priority of raising Morgan if possible.

I have no rule against double posting. I have the info sought, so the ball's in the PC's court. Anyone can post to move things forward, and it can be very general of you prefer, like stating that you're headed back to Fishbark.

Gil isn't trying to steal Tolan's spotlight, just that there's exhaustion giving Tolan disadvantage on skills. Gil Helping Tolan gets him back to normal, but Tolan helping Gil gets full advantage. Otherwise it would be a complete tossup on being the face.

By all means friend. I don’t take offense. Tolan is very exhausted so it makes sense to give you advantage on the rolls
