@rook, I guess Hex's Frostbite attempt didn't seal any boat holes? Just wondering for my IC post.

Also, since there are enemies adjacent to the PCs, does that mean they can be engaged in melee combat (and movement would trigger AoO) despite them being outside the boat?

Sorry, Frostbite, no, but Shape water would patch the boat or at least a 5ft section (repeat as needed) for an hour.

What about the enemy placements? Can Hex move without incurring opportunity attacks?

Well I rolled poorly on all accounts, nat 1 for initiative, ugh! Plus my attack missed.
Galen is using his bow as a staff at the moment since the enemy is too close to hit with an arrow.

@Purplerook: Would Galen have his rapier on him? I feel like he would but since I updated his sheet I wanted to ask instead of assuming.
Yes his sheet, AC and HP are correct as well.

Yes his sheet, AC and HP are correct as well.

@Pseudomin,

Please don't feel bad about the feedback below. The Door gives me a chance to watch new players/characters in action and provide some feedback.

1) West Marches characters start with an extra 25 gold (so typically 35 gold). I strongly advise buying a shield (10 gold) and BattleAxe (10 gold).
2) Javelins do the same damage as Hand Axe, cost less, and go further. I'd suggest selling/trading Girgdan's starting hand-axes for some Javelins.

Given 1 & 2 above, I suggest either 1) coming through the door with a shield(+2 AC) or 2)Using a Great Axe (1d12 vs. 1d6 damage).

Thanks for the advice - I have updated to a shield + battleaxe with a few more javelins.

Would you like me to update the rolls in the last post or just leave as is given I am a wet and confused Barbarian trying to subdue a shark and turn it into a water mule

From Teema's birdseye view, was she able to spot any apparent reason why the shark attacked Hex instead of Girgdan? Would she assume that it followed a particular attack pattern (encouragement from the Sahaugin to focus with him on Hex) or is it simply attacking optimally on its own while ignoring blows from suboptimal targets?
