He opens his mouth to speak, but it is much too late. "'One at a time,'" he quotes himself, though there is no one left who can understand. "Maybe I misused the idiom," he wonders, in a rare moment of doubt. "Hold your breaths, then," Arrogaio yells to the backs of the others, before gasping in a great lungful of air and charging after them.

Cha-kra Although he wasn't quite as fast as his kenku companion after they had surprisingly started to run into the jungle at the same time, it appeared that Cha-kra was not going to stop his charge after he had begun to move and thus he left Arrogaio behind while inadvertently disrupting the human vanguard's plan. Although he had armed himself to the mandibles with his vicious throwing weapons, the mantis warrior didn't seem intent on using them unprovoked once he had made it to the garden's edge from where they could see that the garden's tender was still going after her work. Even as he entered into the garden grounds, there was nothing that changed about Cha-kra's demeanor and the Thri-kreen seemed fully focused on cutting through the spore-rich habitat as he kept running in a manner which would best preserve the oxygen within his carapaced body. Even though he could have sent the woman a telepathic message, he did not do so. And if he noticed the other adventurers following or getting affected by the spores, the insectoid never showed a reaction. He just kept charging ahead.

Rhazor keeps both holding his breath and running while following Snap and Arrogaio. he doesn't look back but glances toward the gardener when entering the garden. Cha kra enters the garden armed to the teeth but with determination to reach the other side.
Snap kick after feeling drowsy leaves the garden returning to arrogio.
It is then that arrogio leaves to the garden.
The grung shrugs and covers his face before heading towards the garden.

While one pirate shrugs off the effects of the spores a second replaces them. With the gathering crowd the woman approaches and begins to great the strangers in Sylvan.

Cha-kra It made for a good assumption that Cha-kra couldn't possibly overlook how Snap Kick turned back ahead of him or how the indeterminate fey lady turned to greet his party in her sylvan language. However, the insectoid's notice of those occurrences showed neither in his movements nor in his lack of expressions as he simply kept advancing through the field of despicable spores. As a Thri-kreen he didn't need to inhale the environmental hazard in order to communicate, and even language barriers could be overcome one-sidedly through the power of thought. Yet all the same, if Cha-kra had ever seen an upside in engaging this gardener, at least right now the mantis was decidedly making no use of his gifts. He simply ran forward and maintained his grip on his chatkcha without showing any immediate intent to attack. With Snap Kick running in the opposite direction it was now Cha-kra who was spearheading the escape to the front. It was impossible to tell if that made any difference to him.

Rhazor Blackhand Rhazor watches the woman approaching to the group, but she seems to be friendly - or at least non-hostile. She talks in a strange language but the young rogue does neither understand her and nor does you want to speak and breath at all. That's a job for our giant mind-speaking grass-hopper! Thus, he keeps both holding his breath and running as if his live depended on it (which it does somehow).

Snap kick rejoins the group and the sailors manage recover from the spores. The grung moves towards the temple and waves for everyone to continue to wich they do going into the temple then up stairs wich turn from beaten marble to more natural stone continuing up the mountain. A silver Dragon is seen preparing to take flight from the mountain though completely still.

Rhazor Blackhand Rhazor follows the grung through the temple and up the stairs. He holds his breath a long as possible. His head is quite red, then he suddenly stops and inhales deeply while still holding his mask to ensure that he is still protected from the spores. "Aaaargh, that is a nasty trick. Oh my god. I though my lungs will explode." He takes a minute to calm down and follow their leader more and more upstairs the mountain. "Who made all this stairs?" He stops and watches the silver dragon at the peak. "Oh, wait a second. This dragon... there..." he points up the mountain just in case someone did miss it. "... is it a friend or foe?"" He looks at the grung, hoping from the bottom of the heart, that they can avoid the beast at all.

He eyes the gardener, wary for hostility. "Our guide served us well," he informs the others when it becomes clear that they have safely passed, "once I questioned him. "Now, upward," he begins, before Rhazor points out a new, serious concern. "Its allegiance may be an important question, my friend," Arrogaio notes, "but I have a better one: Is it real? See how still it has become. This is the Thorp of Delusions," he reminds Rhazor unnecessarily. After a few more moments of observing the immobile creature, Arrogaio telepathically orders his familiar to investigate. "Let us see what Duha can find for us," he proposes as the owl leaves his shoulder.

Cha-kra Right after Cha-kra had run into the temple and ascended the stairs to reach the foot of the mountain track, after the other adventurers joined him one after another they saw the Thri-kreen visibly bristle. It wasn't in a mammalian manner, but for the first time it was more or less easy to discern the insectoid's body language as a display of physical discomfort. The gesture only lasted for a few seconds of agitation before Cha-kra tilted his chitinous head upward and fixated on the mountain top instead of addressing with his party that they had just withstood the fey garden's dangers without any major collision. Similarly to the dragon that was sitting some manner of distance up the mountain, the mantis warrior remained still for several seconds, ostensibly inspecting or observing the large being which looked as if it was about to take flight, yet didn't. Cha-kra didn't respond to Rhazor's audible concerns, yet as soon as Arrogaio began to respond to the rogue's disconcert by reminding everybody which landmark they had landed upon, the Thri-kreen sent his telepathic waves into all of his companion's heads. ~The Thorp of Delusions is behind us.
