Did the captain decide to anchor the ship or are we able to take some distance and delay their boarding? Cha-kra is not going to tell the sailors how to do their job, but it appears to me that they might be pretty new to this.

Arrogaio won't hesitate to tell them how to do their jobs! The idea was definitely to kite the enemy, so I hope there's no anchor. Now, there may be a question of the ship's agility and acceleration...

Yes, with six seconds in a turn, an unpowered sailing ship isn’t going anywhere fast enough to matter during combat rounds.

My hope would have been for the captain to start some maneuvring before he basically forced the combat engagement, but since there was no mention of such orders in the narrative, I'm assuming we're pretty much waiting to be boarded. For now, Cha-kra is likely to remain in the crow's nest to keep taking shots from above. I think our frontline is pretty solid, so even if we can't kite them at sea, we should probably be able to deal with the sea spawn without too much hassle.

While the ship could move, remaining slow enough to not hit the large rocks, the ship would move at about every three turns. The sailors had also chose to fire instead of sail this turn.
