I can't think of what we might offer the spirit. But boons we could ask for in return that would be very useful and not super powerful would be temporary darkvision, or water.

If it's not something just messing with us, I would think it's some kind of earth elemental. Water seems possible in that case - channeled from some other location. But since it wouldn't give us the slightest hint what it would want, I don't know what to do. It could want gold, or information (about what I have no idea), or a striptease. "What would you give us for...this grappling hook?!"

Snap Kick is willing to get nekkid for water! But I don't know if that is PG-13.

He also has 2 crawler mucus vials from "Night People" that are worth 200 gp each in the 5e economy but which are worthless in the West Marches economy. So I am happy to exchange them for water. I can try it on my next post.

I sent you the PM. Generally, I don't need your character's action to be stated in the IC before I resolve it, and this OOC thread is the more expedient angle to receive a response about the game from me. I do however expect that anything resolved OOC finds its way into the IC thread eventually, at the least to inform the narrative canon that an interaction has occurred or that information has been processed, even if the details are omitted. I also would like any rolls that were made to appear in the IC thread as well, because I cannot be bothered to search them in the OOC thread if they ever become relevant again. Anything relevant to the game belongs into the IC thread for the sake of posterity.

Yes, I forgot the spirit doesn't understand Common, but Snap Kick doesn't have much of a mimicry repertoire outside of Common. So I guess he'd rely on Arrogaio's translation.
